Client is seeking a senior manager to lead an Equity Trading Support group.
This management position will oversee a small team of senior trading support
specialists that provide 24x7 support to Research Equity Traders and
business operations personnel. This critical support position requires the
ability to deliver an exceptional level of customer service in a
high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities;

· Manage the equity trading help desk team to ensure the highest
possible level of support to traders and ops personnel.
· Proactively manage all supported technology platforms including
workstations, monitors, data walls and printers.
· Ensure timely updates to business and technology stakeholders on
major service issues.
· Coordinate technology priorities and projects with the Technology
Client Relationship manager.
· Provide level 1 support for all supported business and enterprise

Candidates seeking consideration must have significant experience in all or

Operations Management

· 5-7 years of management experience in technology operations role.
· Experience in developing scalable support models aligned with
technology partner and customer needs.
· General planning and managing desktop-related projects and

· Maintaining hardware inventories and ensuring proper spare

Required Skills and Competencies:

1) Strong skills in applied mathematics, basic knowledge of
mathematical finance, basic knowledge of financial markets. A Masters degree
in Computational Finance, a Masters degree in Mathematical Finance, or a
Ph.D. in finance or economics, or a Ph.D. in mathematics or a computational
science is strongly preferred. (Specific knowledge of Emerging Market
activities, credit dynamics, or mortgages are a plus.)

2) Strong hands on technology skills are a core requirement (C++
programming and statistical packages such as SAS or Matlab). The successful
candidate will have demonstrable success.

3) Ability to discuss and market ideas is required. Strong
communication & collaboration skills are necessary.

4) Market inquisitive' nature and strong desire to be commercially
relevant through the development of financial analytics and the application
of analytical skills to find and risk manage trading positions. The
candidate must be able to couple knowledge of mathematical finance,
empirical statistics, and market knowledge to identify revenue
enhancing/risk reducing trade opportunities.

5) Experience in designing and implementing analytics which have
gained widespread use on one or more trading desks is extremely desirable.

6) Candidates for senior level roles must have a good track record of
marketing successful strategies to the trading desk and their clients as
well as having demonstrable experience of designing and structuring various
trades for clients and traders.

7) Candidates for senior level roles must have demonstrated leadership
skills and a track record of mentoring and directing highly skilled
quantitative professionals in the development, implementation, and adoption
of analytics that have had a revenue positive impact on the business.

Must Haves:

· Advanced degrees in quantitative fields (Math, Physics, Computer
Science, etc.) and/or finance. PhD a Strong Plus.

· 5+ years experience working as a desk strategist – Strong Quant.
Background

· Strong hands on technology skills - C++ programming and
statistical packages such as SAS or MatLab.

· Knowledge of credit products and credit market – Experience with

V-motion, ESX Ranger and other virtual management software. VMware and ESX
are required. The most recent version of ESX is 3.x
3. We are presently using Windows 2003 server and will be migrating to
Windows 2008. The candidate needs to have 2003 server (2008 would be a
plus).
4. Strong Active Directory and Microsoft Clustering skills are required.
5. The candidate should come from a large production environment - (700+
Windows Servers globally)
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 8+ years of managing a Windows Server environment (Windows 2003
Server required)
· In-depth Knowledge of VMware architecture and hands on experience
