Position: Powder Technology Project Coordinator

Location: Geneva, IL (relocation assistance provided)

Anticipated Salary Range: $70 - $85k + bonus

Summary: The Powder Technology Project Coordinator will be responsible for
actively achieving the company's growth objectives through identification,
development and implementation of technical projects focusing on new product
development across all commercial applications. Providing technical
solutions to customers through Business Units support is also the
responsibility of this position. The position will have no direct customer
responsibility, but will have direct customer interaction as needed.
Limited overnight travel can be expected throughout the NAFTA region.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop new products and explore new applications for existing
strategic products through execution of key projects.

* Create and define new product development projects while working
against specific milestones.

* Execute and manage defined key projects in order to catalyze
growth of existing and new products while working in close collaboration
with Sales/Marketing, Technology and Operations.

* Troubleshoot both production-related and customer-related
problems, developing solutions in close collaboration with the Sales and
Technology groups, based on the product and service capabilities.

* Act as the expert in the powder technology associated with the
assigned projects.

* Act as the primary trainer and facilitator in the respective
areas.

Key Requirements:

* MS in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Powder Technology or
related field (PhD preferred)

* 2-5 years of experience in product and process development of
powders and solids in food or pharmaceutical industries

* Strong science background in powder technology specifically
required, preferably with experience in publications and presentations

* Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in granulation, mixing,
crystallization, powder material handling and packaging. Troubleshooting
experience of powder stability for food ingredients and pharmaceutical
excipients is highly preferred

* Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in lab instrumentation and
equipment of powder technology

* Demonstrated project execution experience, with project
management experience preferred

* Demonstrated troubleshooting and innovative problem solving
skills

* Demonstrated ability to learn complex concepts and processes
quickly and efficiently
