C# Developer
US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or EAD ONLY (NO 3rd PARTIES)
One of SGA's major financial clients is looking for a C# Developer for a full time position in New York, NY. The successful candidate will be part of the Derivatives IT team and will make important contributions towards these projects to deliver quality solutions to the business. Will work with all aspects of software delivery; including analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment, developing solutions that fit with the strategic direction of the group, making use of current components and delivering new core components, full lifecycle responsibility, delivery to the business and handover to the support team, and all aspects of third line technical support on a rotational basis.
Experience Required
- Strong C# development skills (under 5-6 years)
- At least 3 years of full software lifecycle development experience within the investment banking industry.
- Track record of delivering large scale in-house trade life-cycle and risk management systems across a distributed framework providing intra-day and end-of-day risk.
- Prior work in a team environment with other developers.
Experience Preferred
- The candidate should be hungry to learn
- Preference is given to candidates with under 5-6 years of experience in C# development
- Preference is given to candidates with Computer Science degrees from big name computer science schools such as RPI, IIT, Stanford, MIT, Carnegie Melon, Berkley, Cornell, Harvard, Yale, NYU, etc..
- Commodities derivatives knowledge preffered but not required
- Significant and relevant experience of delivering strategic risk solutions to an exotics derivatives business preffered but not required
Aptitude Preferred or Must be willing to learn
- History of delivering strategic risk tools including scenario analysis, P&L explains and pricing solutions.
- Exotic Derivatives & risk knowledge, including second order Greeks.
- Power & Gas, Metals, Precious Metals, Oil, FX, Commodity Indices (GSCI, Client etc).
Experience with VB, VBA, and Excel is a plus
