The opening requires knowledge of methodology/process (PMP or Prince 2 preferred) in addition to the above skills. It is located in NEW YORK, NY.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* PM executes at project level project management tasks including, but not exclusively: o Initiation o Planning o Execution o Monitoring and Reporting
* Ensure compliance to Firm・s project management standards including GSDP and SDLC+.
* Relationship building, communication, coordination and management of workstream SMEs and BAs
* Assessments of processes, tools, and techniques used in the project life cycle
* Assist project workstream resources as necessary.

Qualifications:
* Project Management using a recognized methodology like PMI or Prince2
* Proficiency in Microsoft toolset including MS Project, Excel, Powerpoint
* Understanding "waterfall" and iterative development lifecycles for IT systems
* Familiarity with Issue / Defects/ Risk Management tools
* Group facilitation skills
* 5-10 years as Project Manager or Project Support in financial services industries using a structured dev life cycle
Desirable:
*PM for IT Application development in a major investment bank; requirements, designs, building and testing.
* Basic business understanding of our production environments and businesses
* Experience in best practice environments
* Project Management: Concepts and techniques
* Familiarity with process of engineering Requirements
* Familiarity with Product and Process Quality Assurance and Quality Control
* Working knowledge of Mercury Quality Center or other issue/defect tracking tools
* Some familiarity with Process improvement methodologies like 6-Sigma Lean Sigma, CMMi etc,
