good understanding of front, middle and back office flows. The candidate
should have strong knowledge and experience in Problem, Incident, Change and

. Take a leading role in interacting with the GCMDP businesses to
prioritize, resolve, escalate (where required), and own all support issues
through to completion.
. Lead a team of analysts, developing their specialist knowledge in

POSITION 5. Scenario Tool (CVA) developer LOCATION CHICAGO
Description
The Credit Value Adjustment (CVA) trading desk manages counterparty risk in
the Global Rates and Currencies (GRC) business. In order to do this a
variety of trading and risk management tools are used.
Scenario Tool is the core risk engine used by the desk. It is a large-scale
distributed application built in C++ and Java and running on a UNIX (Linux)
platform. Many third party technologies are used including Data Synapse,
JBOSS and SQL Server. The pricing models used are complex and cover a wide
range of asset classes.
The application is currently developed by a team of 3 in Chicago and 1 in
London.
The role involves support and development of the Scenario Tool application.
This will include implementing new functionality, refactoring and
performance enhancement, investigating problems (second line support) and
assisting with the testing and deployment process for new releases.
This role would suit an experienced developer who is looking for a
challenging technical project and the opportunity to improve their business
knowledge.
Essential skills
Strong C++, UNIX and SQL
Good core Java (server-side Java)
Experience of working on complex large-scale distributed systems, including
appropriate debugging techniques
Knowledge of source control concepts
OTC interest rate derivatives product knowledge, including some pricing

General comments about the work scope:
We are actively building out electronic trading capabilities across Rates
(US Treasury, Agencies and Discount Notes) and Credit (Corporate Cash)
space. The firm is growing as major Fixed Income dealer and market maker.
There are many interactions with other business units - Middle Office,
Operations, Product Control etc. to ensure correct processing of trades
and pricing data. In addition, we'll build out tools that will assist the
business in analyzing client trades and help us increase market share.

- Senior developer:
Very solid Java (server side), good experience with electronic trading in
Fixed Income space (Rates and/or Credit). These two are "must haves".
Experience with ION Trading platform a great plus. Self starter.

- Junior developer:
Very solid server side Java. Exposure to electronic trading in Fixed Income
very helpful, knowledge of Fixed Income markets needed.

Position 7. Business Unit and Department Structure: Global Rates and
Currencies Technology (GRCT) provides technology solutions and support to
the GRC Business which is a division of Global Markets covering all Rates
and Currency trading functions

Team Specific Structure and Responsibilities: The Business Management Office
(BMO) is a global team that provides control functions for the Technology
Development and Support functions. At a high level, the BMO team, which this
role is a part of, is responsible for Financial Management, Headcount
(Resource) Management and Regulatory Controls & Compliance related functions
impacting the department

RESPONSIBILITIES
. Manage and lead an array of Compliance Programs including but not
limited to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Technology Audits, Continuous & Ad hoc

. Assists PMs in assessing project issues and risks and develops
resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and business-satisfaction goals
and objectives.
. Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher levels of management
through the appropriate reporting tool and/or PMO.
Essential:
. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Management or a related
field and at least 5+ years of related experience.
. 3 or more years of Project Management experience in a software
application delivery role.
. 2 or more years in Financial Services sector (securities
front-office) delivering software applications to equity, derivatives,
and/or prime brokerage trading desks.
. Demonstrated success at delivery of software application programs in
financial services.
. Team management and project delivery track record.
. Program management tools and reporting experience.
. Experience facing off to the CTO/COO level audience for delivering
program status.
. Attention to detail; ability to summarize at the CTO level.
. Clear concise communication, both verbal and written.
. Thought leader and positive motivator with the ability to
inclusively communicate through all levels of the organization.
. Demonstrated record of achieving continuous organizational
improvement through hands on participation, consensus building and
influence.
. Strong sense of urgency.

Preferred:
. Bachelors degree in Business, Information Management or a related
field and at least 5+ years of related experience
. 5 or more years of Project Management experience in an application
and/or information technology delivery role with 3 or more years in
Financial Services (securities front-office) sector.
. Demonstrated success at delivery of large and complex IT
multi-generational projects.
. Experience delivering against a program of projects and resource
prioritization and staffing.
. Experience in mentoring and coaching Project Management resources.
. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and
negotiating with technical staff, the business and management.
. Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) certification and
training.
. Advanced skills in MS Project and other MS Office tools.
. Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and training (or equivalent)
