Job Description :
Work as a member of the Business Intelligence team in the Data Assets group responsible for the management and maintenance of the Business Intelligence reporting systems for the client. The Business Intelligence developer does a combination of defect remediation and new development. In addition, this person works with other team members to ensure existing reports and documentation meet defined standards.
·To be considered, candidates must have a demonstrated ability writing Business Objects Web Intelligence documents, Excelsius Dashboards, create and maintain Business Objects Universes, Crystal Reports and SQL queries. This individual will be involved with projects, regular requests, system enhancements and defect remediation. The reports developer works in conjunction with the Business Intelligence Team Lead, Data Architects, Business and Data Analysts, other Modelers/Developers and application development resources.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, enhance or modify reports and dashboards as part of new project work or defect remediation
Develop, enhance or modify Business Objects Universes as part of new project work or defect remediation
Tune reports and improve queries performance
Review business requirements and identify data sources
Develop technical specifications for the development and enhancement of report objects
Perform Crystal Enterprise/Business Objects XI Enterprise tasks
including report administration
Assist in end user UAT and QA cycles as needed
Participate in moderate to complex systems analysis projects
Ensure standards and best practices used in report development are
followed, documented and maintained
5 years experience in reports and universe development with Business Objects XI R2.1 and XI R3.1 (Web Intelligence, Universe Designer and CMC Administration and Crystal Reports)
3-5 Experience with SQL Server
Advanced skills with SQL-PL-SQL and DB programming (SQL Server)
3 Experience with Excelsius and dashboards design
Advanced skills with SQL-PL-SQL and DB objects
Experience in Data Warehousing projects
Expertise in customer facing report design and construction
