Position Responsibilities – Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer position within EDA- Data Engineering team will
partner closely with IS Developers, Business Analysts and infrastructure
teams to deliver on application delivery needs. The position will provide
SQL Tuning expertise to all IS projects around enhancements and new
initiatives. This position requires proficiency in client interaction and
packaging technical solutions.

The Application Teams utilize a centralized SQL Tuning team to support its
ongoing development initiatives and provide day-to-day system support. This
Senior Systems Engineer function will specialize in offering SQL Tuning and
Engineering support to application development teams. This will be "hands
on position" with opportunities to experiment and learn new technologies.
This position will also provide input and assistance to Data Architecture
and Production Support Database Administrators.

Keys to this Position:

1. 7+ years of Oracle DBA Tuning experience is required.

2. This person needs to have expert level SQL Tuning experience as the
emphasis on this role is Tuning.

3. Oracle 11G experience is a Must.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Minimum 8 years experience as an Oracle Database Engineer/Developer
supporting large application development life cycles on LINUX and
UNIX/Solaris with 5+ years as a SQL Tuning Expert.

The successful candidate will have most of the following skills:

· PL/SQL

· TKPROF

· AWR (Automatic Workload Repository)

· ASH (Active Session History)

· SPM (SQL Plan Manager)

· SQL Tuning Pack

· Optimizer 10g and 11g

· Oracle GRID – Performance Pack

· SQL Hints

· SQL Tuning

· AUTOTRACE

· Oracle Trace Files including 10046 and 10053

· Strong understanding of Oracle data dictionary and how it applies
to applications written against Oracle

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Strong PL/SQL programming skills

· Strong understanding of Oracle Internals (Memory, Dictionary,
Optimizer..etc)

· Strong understanding Oracle 11g new features in the context of
application enhancement

· Strong understanding of Oracle 11g optimizer and differences

Position Responsibilities – Summary:

The firm's Trading Operational Support unit is seeking a systems analyst to
join the team supporting our Equity Stock Trading, Equity Basket Trading,
and Equity Derivatives Trading Desks. Support of our Fixed Income
Corporate, Money Market, High Yield, and Foreign Exchange Trade desks will
be a secondary responsibility. The trading systems group provides a high
level of electronic trading automation and tools to automate the post-trade
allocation notification process.

Currently, the systems provide a means for traders to electronically receive
orders, execute, and send allocation reports to multiple execution
platforms. Qualified applicants must possess a strong knowledge of
technology, trading, and financial services. Candidates must also possess
excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, willing to work in an
energetic, fun, fast pasted and team-oriented group. The ability to manage
multiple priorities is required. This position requires some partial early,
late and weekend shift coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support of technology located on trading desks

· Spending a large portion of work time on the trading floor

· Researching reported problems. Generating story level

MarketAxess, RediPlus, etc…), Algorithmic and strategy trading, Oasys, and
Omgeo CTM

· 1 – 2 years Programming Experience

· Knowledge of Relational Database Systems and Websphere MQ

· Knowledge of Data Services and Data Service Vendors would be a
plus

· Familiarity with Pre-trade and compliance systems

Keys to this Position:

1. We are looking for a candidate with experience supporting Trading
Applications. The candidate will likely come out of another Asset Manager
or Vendor.

2. We are seeking knowledge of Order Management systems. The ideal
candidate will have experience supporting Equity Trading. Experience with
Fixed Income and FIX is a plus.

3. Very strong communication and client interfacing skills are required.
This candidate will directly interact with the Traders.

4. The candidate will need an understanding of databases and SQL. Coding
with Java or .NET is a plus.
