#1 - Jr. Sales Manager:
Looking to hire a junior sales manager to work alongside and support the sr. sales manager and build their print/digital sales. Train and get the new reps (6-7) up to speed. Make appointments with sales reps. There are a few big corporate events throughout the year and while the Sr Sales Mgr's attendance is required, it's possible this person (based on performance and interest) could attend including a Food Event in March, a music event in July, beer tasting in October in Brooklyn. Help put together the sales and proposals.
up to $80k
$10k bonus (bonuses paid out quarterly based on goals so $2500/quarter)
Must have Sales experience in NYC media, print and/or digital
#2- Sr. Sales Manager:
Act as outside sales person and drive sales and digital platform using media banner space and early impressions. Make appointments with sales reps. Also sell print and sponsorship sales. Right now they are relieving an outside sales person that has been with them for probably 4 or
5 years who has not been performing; another outside salesperson was terminated within his
3 month probation for poor attitude(very unusual but he had some personal issues they didn't see in
the interview); and another guy is moving down to Florida due to his mother being ill and he has to
care for his younger siblings. This was mostly circumstantial. They want people who are hard working,
ambitious, smart, etc. Generally if they have a great employee but they just aren't right in sales we try to find them something somewhere else within the organization. They are also in the midst of doing a large acquisition which opens up opportunity as well. Selling architectural and decorative hardware. Positioned at a counter in a showroom (walk-in and phone business). Most of their business is to B to B, but some retail. Knowledge of the product is a ++.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Our client is seeking a Senior Managing Director of Strategy and Operations to maximize the potential of its 20,000 and growing alumni base as a force for change by ensuring that the national alumni team is setting a strong vision and direction, rooted in a well-considered research agenda. The Senior Managing Director of Strategy and Operations will evaluate the impact of current strategies and generate and test new hypotheses to expand the organization's impact over time. This position will improve technology and reporting infrastructure to improve the ability to measure the impact of strategies and investments. It will also design and execute learning and development experiences for staff that build upon the insights from research and align with overall strategy.
The Senior Managing Director will support the VP, Alumni Affairs in developing and executing team management strategy and design administrative operations of the Alumni Team so that it can more efficiently achieve its mission. The Senior Managing Director will serve on the Senior Management Team of the Alumni Affairs Team and will collaborate closely with other senior Alumni Team leaders and directly manage a team of approximately six composed of an assistant, associate, director, two managing directors and a senior managing director. The Senior Managing Director will report directly to the Vice President, Alumni Affairs.
Responsibilities:
* Assess key questions and establish comprehensive strategic research agenda for both short and long-term priorities
* Set strategy and manage process for key national Alumni Team priorities including goal setting, team conferences and strategic planning
* Oversee the needs assessment and resulting learning and development plans for national and regional Alumni Team members
* Manage one full-time assistant responsible for providing administrative support to the SMD and VP, Alumni Affairs and managing special projects that help achieve maximum efficiency in team operations
* Supervise technology and infrastructure planning to ensure Alumni Team needs are met
* Develop operations, including managing creation of agendas and supporting materials for Alumni Team leadership and full-team conferences
* Manage budgeting, forecasting and planning
* Develop strong cross-functional systems to improve knowledge sharing across the team

Position Description:This TAM role is acustomer facing position that provides technical support to the sales and
account management organization in the areas of Global WAN/LAN, CommunityExtranet, Internet, Remote Access and financial community middleware
applications and technologies.
Position Responsibilities:
§ As the lead technical support personto the Sales team, you'llwork directly with customers to communicatethe benefits of the company's services and create solutions that meet customer
needs.
§ Make customer presentations on
the company's product set and proposed solutions.
§ Construct technical solutions for
customer proposals, with support where appropriate, from a central RFP group,
Engineering, and/or Operations.
§ Support Business Development in account planning and
the management and development of new and existing accounts to position new
services and solutions.
§ Keep up to date with new products
in the company's service portfolio, emerging technologies and products, and market
trends.
§ Provide feedback to Product
Development teams on the development of new services.
§ Work with Product Development
teams, Engineering and Operations group to provide non-standard solutions where
required.
§ Organize the delivery of Global
WAN/LAN, Community Extranet, Internet, Remote Access, and financial community middleware based solutions.
§ Resolve issues, trouble-shoot at
the design and proposal stage, intervene in post sales activity as needed, and
ensure delivery of service to the customer.
§ Act as prime customer contact for
periods during the implementation phase of new projects, typically involving
changes to requirements or services delivered.
§ Assist Operational Groups with
resolution of any major technical issues ensuring that the customer and the
company's Business Development staffs are kept informed of issues affectingthe accounts.
§ Ensure that all work for, or on
behalf of a customer, is carried out according to local business conventions
and to agreed quality targets
§ Adhere and conform to all of the
company's ethical and professional standards.
Required Skills and General
Experience:
The NAM Technical Account Manager must have:
§ Threeplus yearstechnical support or project management experience in the International
Telecommunication Service Industry with recent exposure within a recognized
international Value Added Network Service (VANS) company (e.g., BT, OBS,
Savvis, or TNS, …) or relevant experience gained working within the Telecom Departmentof a major financial institution or financial services solutions provider.
§ Ability to multi-task over a
range of tasks and responsibilities.
§ Strong background in account
planning and/or proposal delivery, combined with proactive customer management
skills.
§ Solid knowledge of WAN & LAN
based technical solution is needed.
§ Detailed understanding of the
following technologies:
§ TCP/IP and associated routing
protocols
§ Internet/Extranet architectures
§ Routers
§ Wide area protocols and
technologies (MPLS, SDH, DWDM)
§ Financial industry middleware
applications
§ Messaging
§ Capable of growth within role and
motivated towards greater responsibilities.
§ Excellent oral and written
presentation and communication skills, as well as an aptitude towards sales
related skills and concepts.
§ PC/Office literate in Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint.
§ Ability to operate in an
unstructured environment – self motivated and resourceful.
§ At least one year's exposure to
Sales and Account Management, with presentation skills experience and the
ability to design technical solutions in WANs.
§ Two year's experience in
implementing network solutions or projects.
§ Positive thinker, confident,
presentable, enthusiastic, resilient, self-starter, and team player.
§ Willing to travel internationally.
§ Capable of building and
maintaining good relationships with people, particularly with those of
different cultures and backgrounds.
Education Requirements: Undergraduate degree in
business, technology and/or network accreditation.
