Reminder: The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Job Fair

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2011 Work Local First Regional Job Fair to be held on September 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel.
Much more than just your average job fair, the Chamber's Work Local First Job Fair is a comprehensive employment event featuring guest speakers, career seminars, resume critiques, a question-and-answer session with interview experts, and much more. Representatives from companies including JetBlue, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Stewart International Airport, AFLAC, Adams Fairacre Farms, Health Quest, Cumulus Broadcasting and more will be on hand to collect resumes and meet with applicants.
I will be facilitating the seminar event featuring presenters such as: Carol Heady, president and founder of Learning and Performance Solutions, and Ellyn Enisman, founder of EKS Consultants, Inc., who will present "Advanced Interviewing Techniques and Job Search Strategy for a Challenging Job Market," Robin Rabideau, Manpower Branch Manager, presenting "How To Use A Staffing Agency In Your Job Search," Gordon McAleer, president of the recruiting firm McAleer & Associates, delivering "Putting Your Best Foot Forward Perspective From The Recruiter," and Skip Weisman, the leadership & workplace communication expert who will present "End Procrastination NOW!" .
In addition, Ellen Smith, LCSW, BCD, is a life coach, psychotherapist and certified health coach who will provide one-on-one advice regarding "How to Manage Stress in Uncertain Times." Katrina Gobins, Director of Placement and Denise Fucito, Director of Ridley-Lowell Business & Technical Institute, will provide assistance through their presentation "Re-tooling Your Skills with Ridley-Lowell." Both events will be located on the Job Fair floor.

This is probably best for someone with an HR background, but it's not listed as one of the requirements. As a matter of fact the description is so broadly written it's probably open to almost anyone with some office experience. But knowledge of recruiting, training, or personnel records would probably give one an advantage.
And don't worry about any age bias on this one, it says very plainly, "Retirees welcome". Isn't that refreshing! So even if you're not "retired", but just of a certain age (as polite company would say), you may want to take a look.

Recruitment and Retention Coordinator 25 – 30 hours per week

Objective:
The Recruitment and Retention Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties in recruiting, training and retaining a staff of Caregivers in order to provide the highest quality service to clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Schedule interviews and conduct Caregiver orientation
2. Maintain current personnel file data on all potential Caregivers
3. Implement all Agency Training Programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
· Must be patient and congenial on the telephone.
· Computer skills including, Word, Excel.
· Detail-oriented person.
· Multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Education/Experience Requirements:

Job Description A major Bank Holding Company located in New York City is looking for a Credit Derivatives Business Analyst.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the functional delivery of new IT systems to the Credit Derivatives business by understanding
And communicating business requirements, assisting with design and delivery and by supporting the build,
Test and roll out of solutions.
Main Duties:
Analysis (40%) – Design (25%) - Build (5%) – Delivery (10%) – Project Management (20%)
Skills Required Person Requirements:
Minimum of 1+ years experience working in Credit Derivatives business understanding the various vanilla CDS Products.
Bachelors Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding trade life cycle with some knowledge of front to back processing.
Understanding of current Industry standardization including clearing a plus.
Ability to face off with business stakeholders
Work independently and own work streams
Work on multiple projects concurrently
Produce structured, lucid written documents form formal specifications, meeting minutes or email.
Work with Developers interpreting functional specifications and QA team turning over project builds.
Salary Range This is a full time position for an Assistant Vice President.

Role title: Contracts and Outsourcing Compliance Business . Purpose: Primarily responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of corporate compliance, legal requirements, policy programs, and contracts-related activities in C&O. In addition, as directed by the Global Business Operations Team Lead and in coordination with the Process Strategy Lead, assists the Business Operations team members in various business operations imperatives. Organizational Relationships: • Reports to C&O Global Business Operations Lead • Interacts with C&O BU Leads, Investigator Relations Team Lead, Strategic Sourcing Team Lead, and Outsourcing Leads • Primary interface with the Compliance & Contracts Strategy Lead but also Interacts with other Bus Ops roles
Primary Duties:
1. Compliance: a. Conduct CP115 Due Diligence – Perform CP115 due diligence for C&O-supported transactions in accordance with PGRD process, ensuring consistency and compliance:
b. Screen all new transaction requests for CP115 triggers
c. Conduct due diligence steps as necessary to approve or reject proposed engagement, including: • Assess Government Official status/relations via review of applicable Country Profiles; • Gather, complete, review, update and archive required due diligence documentation; • Consult with Legal to issue employer notification letters; • Consult with US and non-US approvers (including Legal and PGRD Compliance Office); • Produce documentation of FCPA status for C&O colleague and inform C&O colleagues when additional FCPA contract language and attachments are required.
d. Assist in strategic planning and implementation of due diligence systems
e. Provide Other Compliance-Related Transactional Assistance – As directed, perform other compliance-related due diligence transactions in accordance with PGRD process, ensuring consistency and compliance.
f. Tracking and Reporting - Report on efficiencies, bottlenecks and issues around compliance-related information-gathering and approval processes related to CP115 and other compliance requirements. Identify and analyze trends concerning Development- related engagements impacted by compliance requirements.
Continuous Improvement: As directed by the Business Operations Team Lead and in coordination with the Process Strategy Lead: a. Assist the Business Operations team in identifying and implementing compliance-related continuous improvement opportunities across C&O. b. Participate in and support other continuous improvement initiatives led by other members of the Business Operations group and other Dev Ops lines.
