Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Global Execution Services team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
This lead role will combine quantitative and software engineering skills to
drive development and deliverables that support and forward the GES business
goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with Business Analysts to understand and implement
business requirements and objectives

· Work closely with the Global Execution Services business and
research teams to understand business needs and to create effective
technical solutions

· Lead the technical design, implementation and deployment of robust
services that support trading, investment and Global Execution Services
teams

· Perform detailed analysis of analytical/quantitative problems and
provide guidance to the technical development teams

· Partner with the Architecture team to ensure track work is aligned
with the firm's standards and the strategic direction of the enterprise

· Lead full-cycle software development including regression testing,
deployment, and support of new tools

· Stay abreast of the "state of the art" as it relates to the
investment practice, technical and analytics computing both within the firm
and in the industry

Required Skills and Competencies:

· A minimum of five years of experience in the investment industry,
ideally with an asset manager, a hedge fund, or an investment bank.

· Demonstrated understanding of equity and fixed income security
data structures and attributes (including those for related derivatives),
quantitative concepts, and related investment processes

· At least seven years of application designing and programming
experience using Matlab, Java, C/C++, or R. Comfortable in
numerical/statistical programming

· Working knowledge of SQL and relational database technology

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical
production environment

· Strong delivery focus and ability to overcome obstacles

· Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics,
statistics or other quantitative field

· Willingness or demonstrated commitment to a CFA / FRM charter

· Data architecture experience is a plus

Keys to this Position:

1. Technical: This is a hybrid role (60% coding/40% analysis). This role
is 60% hands on coding with Java and some C. The role also requires a
Quantitative background along with Advanced Math. Matlab or R is required.
An Advanced Math degree is highly regarded.

2. Domain: The candidate will require some understanding of Equity or
Fixed Income trading. This individual will sit on the trading floor and
will be constructing models. Therefore, strong communication skills and a
dynamic personality will be greatly beneficial along with a strong
analytical mind.

3. Leadership: This individual will lead a team of 6 (FTE's and
consultants).

Position Responsibilities - Summary:

This position is a member of a 35-person information technology team
responsible for all aspects of technology planning, implementation,
development and support for the infrastructure, hardware and software.
Development includes both in-house applications and integration with
third-party vendor software solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
for trading, portfolio management, accounting and other line-of-business

· 5+ years of management experience – Need experience managing a
group of 25-30 people – Person best suited for this role will have come up
thru a hands-on technical role and can still engage hands-on as needed.
Needs to be hands-on technically in the technologies specified.
· Experience building Windows Based Servers.
· Experience with VMware, Citrix, Active Directory and Clustering.
· Experience with the acquisition and management of technology

· Extensive technical experience in current infrastructure
technologies used at the firm. These technologies include, but are not

· Experience in current development methodologies, audit and SOX
compliance, security practices, middleware, change management compliance,
database technology, etc.
· Solid understanding of hardware, operating systems and associated
technologies including both current technologies and future trends for
industry strategic hardware and software in the assigned environment.
· Ability to manage and adjust multiple priorities in a fast paced,
rapidly changing environment.
· Ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies and business
requirements.
· Cross platform technical knowledge.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Retail experience preferred but not mandatory.
