Conference 5/19-21 and networking information below.  You may want to check the website for details.......http://jumpstartgreen.org/

Green Jobs - Green Jobs Networking Fair

At a time of mounting job losses and financial uncertainty, more and more New Jerseyans are looking to shift their careers into the new "green collar" economy. Job seekers and entrepreneurs will have a chance to learn about many of the sustainable initiatives that are emerging throughout the State - and network with leaders of these businesses - at New Jersey's first Green Jobseekers Networking and Entrepreneurial Opportunities Fair, Thursday, May 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham, 285 Madison Avenue, Madison, N.J.
The event is free and open to the public.
Engineering firms, contracting companies, renewable energy companies, government agencies, major non-profits, and recruiters have been invited to exchange ideas with talented, energetic and committed individuals who are looking for work and new opportunities.
"The goal of the green jobs networking session is to inspire people to shape and participate in new ventures and partnerships that are driving the new green economy," according to Conference chair Jonathan Cloud, director of the Sustainable Business Incubator. "It's a resource for anyone seeking to develop projects, discuss solutions and launch new initiatives."
In addition to green jobs networking, several company representatives will be in attendance that are looking to fill positions in the immediate future. Come prepared!
For more information, or to participate in this portion of the event, please contact Robb Kushner, 973-763-8844 - thanks!

You're invited to our panel discussion:

The Business Case for Going Green

May 20th, 10:00 am

At the conference:

Jumpstarting the New Green Economy

May 19-21, 2009

Fairleigh Dickinson University , Madison , NJ

Dear Mary Ann,

I am pleased to invite you to attend Hudson Gain's panel, The Business Case for Going Green, at the conference, Jumpstarting the New Green Economy, May 19-21 sponsored by Fairleigh Dickinson University's Institute for Sustainable Enterprise in Madison, NJ.The conference brings together business, not-for-profit, government and university leaders in multiple tracks to explore the leading edge of Sustainability. You will discover what needs to be done -- and what you can do, individually and organizationally -- to accelerate the shift to a new, more sustainable paradigm.

As Hudson Gain's Sustainability Practice Leader I will facilitate this highly interactive panel:
The Business Case for Going Green, Wednesday, May 20th from 10 am to 12 noon with panelists:

·         Edward G. Madzy, Director, Product Regulation/Stewardship, BASF Corporation
·         Dave Stangis, Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability, Campbell Soup
·         Kevin Tubbs, Director, Environmental Affairs, Ingersoll Rand
·         Hugh Tole, Director, EH&S, Corporate Environmental & Safety Affairs, Roche
·         Ronald H. Reisman, Business Energy Ombudsperson, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities

Panelists will share their organizations' experiences and ROI in embracing the green economy. The results:
cost savings, profits, new products, new customers, engaged employees, enhanced brands. You will hear how to access the best-ever-but-little-known state and federal programs to save your organization money this year through financial incentives for improving energy efficiency. Panelists' success stories will demonstrate that going Green can yield a faster, better return-on-investment than traditional ways of doing business -- even in this difficult environment.

For more information about the Conference:

Go to http://jumpstartgreen.org/ to see the conference agenda and to register. Conference keynotes, panels and action-learning workshops will be devoted to corporate sustainability and business models for the new growth paradigm, the current state of green business, green investing, green building, green chemistry, renewable energy, green ventures and funding, green collar jobs, government and community programs, etc.

Hudson Gain has co-sponsored other highly successful events with Fairleigh Dickinson's Institute for Sustainable Enterprise, including last year's Conference and a panel on The Role of the Chief Sustainability Officer in Corporations (see our research study on the topic at:
http://www.slideshare.net/RThorne/HudsonGain-Sustainability-Study-20081015

Please circulate this widely. We hope you will take advantage of some if not all of the conference. The early bird rate expires April 30th. While the conference is quite affordable, colleagues in transition can register at the non-profit rate and/or serve as a volunteer.

Best regards,
