We are looking for an exceptional individual to manage the IT developers / support personnel associated with the company's Oracle and Peoplesoft Financial applications (e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and R contracts and accounting). The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting system development / support, implementing controls, application integration and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance management. The platforms in place include Java and Oracle Fusion Middleware 10g technology components including Portal, JDeveloper, BPEL, JSP, EJB, servlets, MVC etc. Powerbuilder as well as the Oracle eBusiness suite, and Peoplesoft General Ledger. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills to understand and clarify the business objectives, strong technical and analytical skills with Oracle technologies, experience in managing vendors who are developing customizations and experience with SOX audits. The candidate will be required to proactively work with the other team members, (i.e. business, technical and vendor) and business users to ensure that the regulatory and business requirements are met by the systems and their associated processes. The candidate will also be responsible for defining the integration strategy for both Oracle and non-Oracle applications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: · Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent degree. · 10+ years of post-college IT experience · 5+ years prior experience as a technical lead or management equivalent · 5+ years experience with accounting, A/R, G/L systems and implementation of controls required. Should be aware of the latest technology advances in the area of content / asset management solutions and the future technology trend of vendors in this industry vertical. · 3+ years working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite and other financial packages (e.g. peoplesoft, SAP) required. · Overall knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and BPEL required. · Prior development experience using Java, Oracle (Advanced SQL*plus and PL/SQL), Struts (or similar framework), Hibernate (or similar persistence layer), JSP; server side Java programming i.e. JavaBeans, J2EE web component standards, concurrency issues (threading), standard OO design patterns, XML, Powerbuilder, data binding a plus · Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, UNIX highly desirable · Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent degree.
