Network Administrators 120k NYC and CT location World-leading supplier of multi-asset trading systems, market data and global connectivity. Available as a simple workstation or as an integrated application suite, employs over 1,000 people and has been fully listed (LSE:FDSA) since 1997. This position will be located at our new data center in CT. We are looking to hire two additional staff members, two mid-level persons with 3 to 5 years experience. One employee will work 7:00am - 3:30pm and the other employee will work 10:30am – 7:00pm. There may be times when shift swaps will need to occur. Responsibilities include: CISCO Router and Switch Installations. 7500 series, 6500 series 2900 series and 2600 series routers and switches. Trouble shooting CISCO Routers and Switches. Extending circuits to routers Monitoring of the Network Trouble shooting Network issues using Sniffers, Ethereal and Wireshark Network design and implementation Working with group to resolve production problems Required skills: Working in a production Data Center environment Strong CISCO IOS background Checkpoint firewalls FIX connectivity and dealing with Financial Networks Experience physically installing routers and switches in a DataCenter environment Ability to work with minimum supervision An ideal candidate would also have skills in the following areas: Understanding of a CISCO based Network environment Working with Telco carriers on installations and problem solving Knowledge of EIGRP, HSRP, BGP and other routing protocols Experience working with T1's, DS3's, OC3's, Metro Ethernet, etc. Candidate must be able to report to NYC office for up to 4 weeks of training at the commencement of employment.
