Technology contract-hiring rose in Q2

The number of information technology contract jobs grew by more than 4
percent in the second quarter, continuing the upward trend that started in
the fourth quarter of 2008.
Corp-Corp., an online information technology consulting marketplace,
conducted the study from March 1 through June 30 by analyzing over 150,000
IT jobs posted by over 750 companies across the U.S.
"One of the best arguments for the longevity of the current economic rebound
is temporary hiring," said Prabakaran Murugaiah, CEO of Corp-Corp.com. "Many
companies that cut back to bare bones staff during the worst of the
recession are now beginning to hire contract workers."
