<Branding> How to leverage one thing multiple times via social media

Posted by: "Maurene Caplan Grey" maurene.grey@grey-consulting.com   maurenegrey

Wed Jul 29, 2009 5:06 am (PDT)

As I wrote earlier, I presented a "Me 2.0" pitch for the NFP. So as use time wisely and extend my reach, I leverage nearly everything that I write. For example, The "Me 2.0" pitch is available:

- My SlideShare page is embedded in my LinkedIn profile page

- the second paragraph at http://grey-consulting.com/

- My Facebook wall

- My SlideShare page is embedded in my Facebook page--which also gives folk a chance to read my profile

- I commented on an article about the job search (that Ron Katz mentioned in a WNO post)-- http://tinyurl.com/lgbo85 (Mouse over the bubble next to my comment name and there is a link to my LinkedIn profile.)

- The author revised his post to include my and other people's comments http://humanracehorses.blogspot.com/ (I get two mentions in the revised post. One in the second paragraph and the other in point 15, which refers the reader back to my presentation posted on SlideShare.)

- I tweeted the location of the presentation on SlideShare.

- I will copy and paste this Yahoo message board post into a blog post at http://grey-consulting.com/blog

- I've set up my blog posts to be syndicated by several prominent blog search engines

My advice--leverage, leverage, leverage everything that you do. It used to be called "tooting your own horn," which had somewhat of a negative connotation if overdone. With the magic of social media, it now called smart personal branding enabled by the natural viral nature of social media.
