Short Description:
Senior Architect is responsible for evaluating existing systems and/or new user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement information system changes.

Complete Description:
Years of Relevant Experience: More than 20 years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study or advanced degree
Role Description:
In order to comply with the Office of Administration's mandate to upgrade our Web environment by December 31, 2009, the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) in the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) requests the services of a highly skilled contractor in building portals using the Aqualogic toolset. Specifically, this resource will work with the DEP Communications Office to plan, prioritize, streamline, build and migrate existing web pages into the standard Aqualogic technology. Acquiring this position will decrease the time required to complete the mandated migration project. Additionally, BIT staff will assist the contractor as needed and as required by the Communication Office.

The highly specialized nature of the AquaLogic product and the importance of the timely and successful completion of the site migration project, require the services of a resource that has expert knowledge of the products. Acquiring this resource will ensure that the migration effort takes place in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Additionally, DEP will ensure the newly deployed website is consistent with industry best practices, some of which are specific to the AquaLogic product. This contract employee will participate in the planning and migration of DEP content to the AquaLogic platform and will guide and assist with tasks related to this effort while working with the Communications Office. Technical guidance and enforcement of Commonwealth standards will be provided by the DEP Portal Project team.

In-depth knowledge of AquaLogic APIs, and IDK

Exp with developing a strategy for migrating DSF sites into Aqualogic

Required 3 Years

Experience developing custom portlets, pages and content items

Required 5 Years

Experience with Development Methodologies

Required 5 Years

Experience developing in C#.NET, PT Adaptive Tags, CSS, and JavaScript

Required 5 Years

Exp utilizing development tools such as MS Visual Studio and Dreamweaver

Required 5 Years

In-depth working experience with all AquaLogic Interaction products

Required 5 Years

Understanding of Commonwealth's Enterprise Portal direction and standards

Required 1 Years

Understanding of the various aspects to a successful deployment at CWOPA

Required 1 Years
