Client is a hospital located in Brooklyn.  It's a newly created role.  Here's the team: CIO, SVP of IT and this newly created position(VP of Information Technology). You can think of it as the intermediary position before going to SVP.  Very much user community and application focus, but also responsible for IT Budget, new systems implementation, etc.

Position Summary:

The VP of Information Technology reports directly to the CIO, and will work side-by-side with the Technical Managers to design and implement specific projects.  Skills include: consulting, communicating, teamwork, leadership, ability to work autonomously, tolerance of ambiguity, analytical, influence and persuasion, decision making/ problem solving, flexibility, creativity, initiative, interpersonal, organizational skills.

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1

Act as  primary=2
0backup to SVP of Information Technology in his absence.

Develop strategic communications plans and advising senior leaders on communications strategy while also delivering at the tactical/operational level

3

Build and maintain a connection with the business team, as well as Communications teams through personal involvement and trust

4

Participate in and ensure a successful outcome of any financial audits of IT

5

Responsible for maintaining IT operational excellence internally and externally.

6

Participate in evaluations of software vendors and solutions.

7

Participate in the development of IT budgets that support both the long-term and short-term objectives of the hospital.

8

Clearly communicate complex information and programs in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing

9

Execute and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service. 

10

Reformat/rewrite existing business policy, standards, and procedure content into the new structured format

11

Maintain content (as needed) to incorporate new corporate standards, changes in policy, new laws/regulations, etc.=0

Establishes, communicates and maintains IT processes & procedures to support production systems.

 

 

Minimum Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

 

Minimum Experience/Requirements: 

at least 5 years of related experience in healthcare.  At least 5 years experience in an IT Leadership capacity.

 

Experience developing strategic communications plans and advising senior leaders on communications strategy while also delivering at the tactical/operational level

 

Experience with healthcare system design, development, implementation and conversion required.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong customer-service orientation with excellent written and oral communication skills and listening and interpersonal skills
Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments/divisions, with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Experience with healthcare system design, development, implementation and conversion

Contractor will work closely with Business Sales team to identify business requirements and translate those requirements into technical solutions for system based on Siebel CRM and Siebel Analytics.

Application is highly customized to support AT&T business processes and to interface w/ AT&T target architecture business systems.

Contractor must have 5-10 years experience in systems engineers and analysis with 5 or more in a Siebel environment. A contractor who has previously done Siebel development is desirable, although formal analysis and requirements experience is essential.

Assignment does not include development responsibilities.

Analysis experience is imperative and Siebel certification is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must as the position involves daily interaction with the Product Management, Sales Operations, Enterprise Architecture, as well as other Systems Engineering and Development teams.

Contractor should be organized and capable of dissecting a problem and understanding the full scope of the user needs, and then translating those needs into the requirements for a systems solution.

Contractor must be a self-starter, capable of working independently. He or she will be expected to be a leader of others and subject matter expert for the system capabilities and sales operations' needs.

Contractor will be responsible for defining and documenting Tier 1 and 2 systems requirements and review those documents with the customer and development organization.

Contractor will follow each feature through the development cycle as subject matter expert and will manage outsourced development team support of the defined capabilities. As such, strong technical leadership skills are crucial. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience with AT&T Business Sales applications and processes.
