& Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) is seeking a strong leader to
join our team and oversee the operation and success of 4 comprehensive
after school programs in the Mt. Vernon area. All of our programs have
three components, 1) Academic 2) Sports and 3) Arts. The Program
Manager will be responsible for contract compliance, curriculum
development, training, implementation of enrichment activities and
theme based projects, recruitment of staff, scheduling of activities,
daily supervision of Site Directors, record keeping and reporting
(particularly on attendance). He/she will assist with the planning and
organizing of special events, monitor budgets, and partake in advocacy
to funders. He/she will also ensure compliance paperwork is obtained
and all regulations under SASF policies are met as well as all
regulations under DOE, DYCD, DOH and other funders.
If you have experience in these areas and are a results-oriented,
reliable, and trustworthy team player that is committed to the mission
of youth development than this is the job for you! We are looking for
an individual that is excited by challenge, seeks continuous
improvement, and values others. A person that can effectively engage
teachers, families, and communities in partnerships to support our
programs and the youth we serve. The right candidate will be able to
develop and empower others, demonstrate strong conflict resolution and
crisis management skills, and be able to clearly articulate outcome
requirements while providing the necessary and appropriate resources
and support for staff to successfully deliver on stated objectives.
Additional Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
Two to four years experience managing youth programs and staff. Must be
comfortable overseeing 4 sites that comprise a total of over 40+ staff
and a budget in excess of $700,000. Bachelors in Education or a related
field required. Master's preferred. Must be comfortable using MS Excel
and have a strong background in managing budgets.
