Position Responsibilities - Summary
The Equity Trading team is seeking a Lead software engineer to be an
integral member of the development team responsible for developing the
firm's next generation Equity Trading System. This role will report to the
Software Engineering Manager for the Equity Trading applications.

Detailed Responsibilities;

As a Lead member of this team, the individual will have the following
responsibilities:

· Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support of the
Equity Trading System

estimates, statuses, identify issues and raise risks

· Partner with the Architecture team to ensure track work is aligned

Keys to This Position:

Looking for a Lead Developer that can be hands on with C#/.Net with strong
GUI - Ideally with Trading or High Volume, High Transactional GUI
development experience.

1. Technical requirements: C#/.Net 2.0+, VS 2005+, GUI, Messaging, (WPF,
Data Grid & WCF, a Big plus)

2. Leadership experience. Experience leading a development team of 15 (5
onshore & 10 offshore) - Team management responsibilities, including the
direct supervision of approximately 15 software engineers (consultants) - 5
Onshore - 10 Offshore thru a Lead - Group is mostly made up of consultants.
Responsibilities breakdown - 65% Technical Leadership - 35% Team Leadership.

3. Domain knowledge (in this order): Trading Systems, Financial
Institution - Front Office, Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc. , or
other Financial Services Experience. Work will involve building the Front
End (GUI) for a Major/Multi Year Trading System Project - This will be the
Order Mgt - Order Execution & Order Allocation Portal used by the Firm's
Traders.

4. Strong Communication skills.

5. Seeking experience with High Volume, High Transactional Systems. This
individual will be a strong Technical, Hands On Leader that knows how to
build High Speed Performance Applications.

Required Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven
ability to design and deliver solutions relevant to complex business
problems. Specific requirements include:

· 10+ years of experience including 3 plus years of experience
managing or leading a development team.

· 5+ years of GUI development using Microsoft technologies

· 2+ years of .net development experience using C#

· 2+ years of using .net frameworks version 2.0 or greater

· Experience with Visual Studio 2005 or greater

· WPF or WCF is considered a strong plus as is Data Grid Knowledge

· Strong knowledge of Relational DB Systems - Oracle is Preference
but other major RDB Systems is fine

· Strong analysis, design and modeling skills

· Strong knowledge and experience with message technologies (e.g.
MSMQ, ActiveMQ)

The Senior Systems Engineer will contribute to the overall engineering,
design, build and provide high level support of all existing and new Windows
Server infrastructure. As a senior member of the team, the successful
candidate will need to work closely with our internal clients to develop
consensus and find solutions to problems facing their business constituents.

Detailed Responsibilities;

· Monitor windows environment for anomalies and errors, reporting
and escalation of issues.

· Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and management of
the platforms.

· Provide Level III support and repair, as well as escalation to the

patch management, virtual machine management, virus scanning, etc.

Keys to This Position:

1. This candidate will be very strong technically with ESX. In-depth
Knowledge of VMware architecture and hands on experience with V-motion, ESX
Ranger and other virtual management software. VMware and ESX are required.
The most recent version of ESX is 3.x

2. We are looking for a Very Senior Windows Systems Engineer that has
strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. We are presently using
Windows 2003 server and will be migrating to Windows 2008. The candidate
needs to have 2003 server (2008 would be a plus).

3. The candidate should have strong experience working in a mission
critical environment. Financial Services is strongly preferred.

4. Experience handling an on call rotation (every 8 weeks) and
understanding how to handle crisis situations.

5. Ideally the candidate should come from an environment similar to
client's, (900 Windows Servers globally). The candidate should have
minimally managed 300 servers.

6. Strong Active Directory and Microsoft Clustering skills are a big plus.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 8+ years of managing a Windows Server environment (Windows 2003

An experienced senior network engineer is needed to provide the Network
Services team with complimentary skills to support my client's user
community. Candidates will posses expertise in managing a complex LAN and
WAN environment across numerous business units and geographical locations.

Extremely strong logistical skills and the ability to manage many

The Enterprise Information Architect will play a key technical leadership
role in defining direction as well as implementing major transformational
data-related projects planned over the next 3-5 years. She/he will be

· Align Enterprise Information Architecture efforts with other

overall alignment of architecture components.

Keys to This Position:

1. Domain knowledge: The candidate must have a strong knowledge of the
Asset Management industry and how the business operates. Ideally the
candidate will come from another asset management firm or a vendor like a
Charles River or similar type vendor firm.
2. Technical skills: The candidate will have a focus at a Lead level in
the areas of Information/Data Architecture and Integration, Data Modeling,
Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, etc.
3. Must have strong Client Relationship and Leadership skills. This
individual will interface with the Investment Systems team and the
Investment Data team among others. Experience understanding Fixed Income,
Equities and Derivatives is important.
4. This individual will be very similar to a Lead Systems Analyst, but in

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Master's degree in software or systems engineering, computer
science, information systems management or the equivalent.
· At least 10 years progressive experience in enterprise
information/data related disciplines, i.e., data modeling, architecture and
integration.
· Proven experience in developing information architectures aligned
with information lifecycle management within financial services.
· Proven experience performing conceptual, logical and physical data
modeling with data modeling tools (Erwin/ModelMart) and database design in
complex, large-scale data environments.
· Proven experience in transactional data modeling (3NF),
dimensional modeling and object oriented modeling. Proven experience in
developing scalable design of entities using advanced data structures (e.g.,
tall tables) is a plus.
· Knowledge of application modeling languages/techniques (e.g., UML,
OML, entity relationship modeling, DFDs) including the ability to create and
read the associated diagrams.
· Proven experience creating enterprise models incorporating master
and reference data.
· Experience in creation of data dictionaries, defining metadata
management approaches and governance processes.
· Experience in developing and implementing IT architecture plans,
Enterprise Information Architecture standard and guidelines, software
development methodologies and strategic plans.
· Experience in developing data sharing standards and architecting
scalable service oriented solutions.
· Solid understanding of transaction and information systems, data
warehouses, data marts, ODS, MDM methodologies and life cycle as well as ETL
and MDM technologies.
· Strong facilitation skills to engage subject matter experts to
define data requirements and conduct data modeling design reviews with
project teams.
