Philip:
The arrangement for those in transition is you must call the Council's office for a reservation for placement on the guest list. There are no fees involved.
Contact me if you need further assistance.

Ron,
Thanks for this wonderful opportunities. One question. Do we still need to pay for the registration fees or are they waived?

To fellow WNO members:
Last month, I wrote the group about my efforts to connect with the Business Council of Westchester (BCW) with those who are in transition, as another means of networking with the County's business leaders. Because of your strong response, I arranged to meet the President and CEO of the Business Council of Westchester, Dr. Marsha Gordon. She and her organization have graciously offered the following:
1) An invitation to the BCW's networking mega mixer on March 18, 2010 at the Hilton Rye Town (It is required to call and reserve a spot);
2) An invitation to attend evening networking sessions (It is required to call and reserve a spot for each event);
3) An invitation to contact Dr. Gordon.
The Chamber has been very gracious to us in extending this opportunity to network with its membership. Please ensure them the courtesy to call ahead of time to reserve a spot at all BCW events.
Check Council's website www.westchesterny. org for more information as well as the companion online publication www.westfaironline. com.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any further comments/questions regarding this issue or any other issue that I may be of assistance.
I'd like to thank Robert Zanfardino for his guidance and support with this opportunity.
Thank you all for your attention in this matter.

_____________________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _
Please find the attached invitation for our quarterly "Executive
Networking Breakfast" held at the Trumbull Marriott at 180 Hawley Lane,
Trumbull, CT 06611 on Wednesday, February 24^th from 8:00AM-11:00AM.
This is the 29th event we have facilitated since 2002. Our previous
events were received with tremendous openness and success; we have had
over 1600 senior level executives attend from diverse backgrounds such
as finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, technology, law,
publishing, engineering, and research. At our 4 events in 2009, we
averaged 75 people per event with also an average waiting list of 25-50
people. Since 2007, we've reached our event capacity limit 3 weeks
prior to the event. Therefore, please respond immediately if you are
interested.
It has been researched and documented that greater than 80% of
senior-level job opportunities are discovered via networking. Our goal
is to create a fun and informative environment to facilitate such
networking and executive learning. Part of the session will be "speed
networking," where participants will meet individuals like themselves to
uncover potential ideas and opportunities.
For this event, we will be bringing back Julie Jansen. Julie Jansen, a
speaker, career coach, consultant and author of I/ Don't Know What I
Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-By-Step Guide to Finding
Gratifying Work/ (Penguin; 2003) will present a practical and
motivational talk on the how-to's of effective networking. She has been
quoted in/ Fortune/,/ Forbes/,/ Smart Money/,/ Cosmopolitan/,/
Details/,/ Essence, Men's Fitness/ and on numerous TV and radio programs
nationally. At the event, Julie will discuss: the definition of
networking and its benefits, how to remember people's names, the two
barriers to networking, networking etiquette, the networking process,
and tips and techniques for networking.
Additionally, we will have a new speaker with Paul Bailo. Paul Bailo
MBA, MSW, Ph.D. (candidate) is the founder and CEO of Phone Interview
Pro -- a service for job seekers who want to perfect their telephone job
interviewing skills. Mr. Bailo recognized that while resume, interview
preparation, and target company research assistance are commonly offered
by outplacement and career counseling organizations, the importance of
the telephone interview is often overlooked. In response to this, Phone
Interview Pro has created a 250+ point phone evaluation not seen in the
career services industry...until now! Paul will be discussing some of
these evaluation points and discuss methods on how individuals in
transition can hone their phone interview skills.

*___Networking_*
One of the most effective ways to expand your circle of influence is
through networking. Word of mouth can enhance not only your potential
to discover opportunity, but it also can facilitate opportunity to
discover you. Executive networking seeks to bring together
experience-intensive individuals to interact with professionals of
similar career levels from different industries, companies, and career
aspirations. In these segments, you will network with management level
individuals and recruiters to extend your sphere of influence, seek
advancement opportunities, expand professional awareness, and to
accelerate your career.
*_Managing Job Transition_*
The average American can expect to change jobs at least eleven times
during his or her career. Taking a new position often opens the door to
enhanced career opportunities/ and/ increased earnings. On the other
hand, leaving an employer can present an employee with critical and
potentially confusing decisions. Understanding the financial choices
that are available can help protect you and your family.
**Joseph Chu, Vice President -- Portfolio Manager and Wealth Management
Advisor, will identify some problems that often occur in career
transition and present possible strategies for resolution. The seminar
seeks to help you take your first step to develop planning strategies to
make the most of your assets and ensure a smooth and profitable transition.
___*Connect! Networking to Reap Results in Your Career*_____
Networking is the single most important business skill to learn and use
to increase your success and enrich your life. Whether you are looking
for a new job, changing careers, or starting a business, you can't do it
without other people. Julie Jansen, a speaker, career coach, consultant
and author of I/ Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A
Step-By-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work/ (Penguin; 2003) will
present a practical and motivational talk on the how-to's of effective
networking. She has been quoted in/ Fortune/,/ Forbes/,/ Smart Money/,/
Cosmopolitan/,/ Details/,/ Essence, Men's Fitness/ and on numerous TV
and radio programs nationally. At the event, Julie will discuss:
- The definition of networking and its benefits - How to
remember people's names
- The two barriers to networking - Networking etiquette
- The networking process - Tips and techniques for networking
*_Preparing for Your Telephone Interview_*
Today, more than ever, job candidates make initial contact with
prospective employers via the telephone. Paul Bailo MBA, MSW, Ph.D.
(candidate) is the founder and CEO of Phone Interview Pro -- a service
for job seekers who want to perfect their telephone job interviewing
skills. Mr. Bailo recognized that while resume, interview preparation,
and target company research assistance are commonly offered by
outplacement and career counseling organizations, the importance of the
telephone interview is often overlooked. In response to this, Phone
Interview Pro has created a 250+ point phone evaluation not seen in the
career services industry...until now! This is not only a new company,
but also a whole new industry; it's exciting for us, of course, but the
real excitement generated by Phone Interview Pro will come from those
who hone their skills using the service.
