Responsibilities 
The incumbent is responsible to lead and facilitate the program management of varied, complex and mission critical projects and policies that are national in scope with significant visibility in the business. These projects will either generate significant revenue, reduce churn and costs in the business or mandated by the government.
 
The Associate Director is also responsible to manage the delivery of multiple, complex projects assigned to the work group.   The AD is responsible to manage a team of managers who are responsible to deliver on multiple projects. Getting to the market quickly with flawless product and service execution will continue to separate VZW from our competitors and this position will play a key role in that delivery to the business.
 
The Associate Director is also responsible to lead the identification of national business improvement opportunities by  gathering and analyzing data from a variety of resources; including but not limited to customer feedback, NPS data, employee feedback tools and customer research. The Associate Director is also responsible to prioritize simplification opportunities and manage the execution of the deliverables through various cross- functional work teams.
 
-Responsible for overall design, management and implementation of highly complex projects and initiatives for large and medium sized national projects including the following activities:
o Develop strategically and Manage effectively cross-functional teams, comprising at least 15+ employees
o Development and maintenance of critical Issues & dependency lists
o Development of risk probabilities & contingency plans
o Management of changes in scope of the project Provides status reports on key milestones
o Directs business case and applicable requirements to support initiative
o Develops reporting to measure success of project
o Direct, implement and manage strategic project plan, execute & close out projects
 
-Leads the national business improvement  and simplification efforts
• Gathers and analyzes data
• Maps current end to end state
• Identifies process improvements
• Prioritizes the simplification opportunities
• Manages the execution of projects through various national cross-functional work teams
• Communicates progress and status to key stakeholders

Qualifications 
• Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and or /sales experience
• Certifications:  PMP preferred
• Demonstrated track record of accomplishments leading complex process re-engineering projects and managing large, national projects
• 8-10 years experience in process redesign
• 3 to 5 years of management experience
• 5+ years wireless industry experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
• Experience in business case development and analysis
• Superior quantitative, and analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to build strong relationships and foster teamwork
• Adapts to changes quickly with a sense of urgency
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and or/ sales experience
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

Position Summary
The Corporate Communications Director is responsible for the strategy, execution and reporting for external communications for the North American headquarters. Global PR Network

* Share best practices with other organizations and agencies
 
Relationship Management
* Manage PR agency staff, deliverables, timelines and budget
* Maintain and grow relationships with the key media including editors, analysts and bloggers
* Secure & manage interviews with Samsung North America personnel
 
Event Management
* Develop & Execute PR events including press conferences, product launches and Analyst roundtables
* Support global event initiatives like the International Consumer Electronics Show, Corporate Social Responsibility gala and World Cyber Games
* Manage ad hoc event budgets
 
Reporting
* Streamline and deliver weekly and monthly reporting to track SOV, Message adoption and tonality as well as impressions
* Develop and deliver executive quarterly PR performance reporting
* Contribute to divisional, national and global reports
 
Internal Communications
* Deliver internal messages to employees
 
All other duties as assigned by management
 
Necessary Skills / Attributes
* Bachelor's degree
* 15+ years of experience, preferably in Public Relations and/or Marketing; press management experience a plus
* High level of professionalism required as a representative of the company
* Ability to work independently and an entrepreneurial spirit; strong decision making skills and problem solving skills
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
* Ability to travel occasionally on international trips
* Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills

Partner with others in the broader AT&T design community to develop and extend an AT&T Experience across the array of AT&T assets (in-home, broadband & mobile)
Develop and manage a team of designers and design project managers
Collaborate with internal clients to define and prioritize user experience requirements and create an implementation roadmap, based on business need and market opportunity
Develop user experience specifications and work with 3rd party providers and suppliers to implement specifications, driving suppliers to create UI/UE roadmaps to meet requirements
Help AT&T develop a leadership position by successfully turning user experience trends, consumer insights and industry knowledge into actionable product and service opportunities. Success in these endeavors will be measured by customer behavior
Define customer-centric UI/UE measurement criteria and test to ensure the User Experience delivers positive results as related to revenue generation, ease of use and customer loyalty
Create a UI/UE framework or design language that allows for easy extensibility of the AT&T UE as new features or services arise
Develop branding guidelines for hardware and software that deliver best-in-class branding and resonates with customers
Designing and implementing "out-of-the- box" experiences, leveraging best-practice knowledge of consumer packaged goods/consumer electronics, that delight customers, increase satisfaction and support the cross-selling of additional services and accessories

EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the wireless industry and current trends in UI/UE within device vendors and wireless carriers. He/she will have a strong sense and intuition for usability and design, with the ability to balance creativity and practicality. This individual will be a proven performer with measurable successes leading to positive bottom-line results. Interpersonally, this person will need to have the ability to build consensus and work across organizational boundaries.
Additionally, this person will possess:
6-8 years experience in user interface and human factors design for handheld consumer electronics products, handheld computers and/or other mobile devices
3-6 years experience managing teams, preferably comprising diverse disciplines including marketing, design and technical resources
At least 3 years experience leading design efforts utilizing 3rd party suppliers with demonstrable short-term and long-term results
Specific experience in the wireless industry, either with a wireless carrier, manufacturer or wireless software design firm
Strong knowledge of handheld device software architecture and RTOS environments.
Strong people management, coaching and counseling skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Superior written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal and negotiation skills
