Participate in design walk-through;
Conduct all phases of testing (Functional, Regression, Access controls, Performance) using both manual and automated techniques;
Manage the lifecycle of a defect from discovery through resolution using defect tracking software;
Manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities;
Develop and maintain various test artifacts including test matrices; Interface with developers and project managers regarding software quality on a regular basis;
Communicate project status to varying levels of management.
Technical Skills Required QA Testing 8+ Years of Experience
Knowledge of web and non web application architecture;
Working knowledge of Unix;
Experience with Oracle 10 G or higher;
Working knowledge of Automated Test tools (Compuware preferred);
Grey box testing experience;
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Other Requirements
Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience;
Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products;
Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment;
Test Management Capabilities a plus;
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Ability to collaborate with business clients;
Self-Motivated;
Keeps abreast of current technology trends;
Familiar with application development best practices;
Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office Tools.
