Global Financial Firm located in New York, NY has an immediate full time opportunity for an experienced Director - Compliance Information Analytics & Controls. The purpose of this role is to manage the development, implementation and ongoing enhancements to the Compliance data monitoring and controls dashboard. This application will provide oversight capabilities to Global Compliance and Operations to the ongoing health of data that feeds into Compliance applications and will provide early detection of any issues that would potentially impact the quality of our monitoring and reporting for such are as a Trading Surveillance, Regulatory Reporting and AML Surveillance. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for providing results to requests for business related data in response to regulatory inquiries, subpoenas regulatory exams and audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe requirements and responsibilities for all aspects of the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
·Define the strategy and vision for the implementation of data quality controls and monitoring for Compliance.
·Manage the design, development, implementation and go-forward enhancements to the new Compliance Data Monitoring and Control application.
·Extensive interaction with front & back office technology groups to ensure tight integration between product processors, product master & customer master applications.
·Ensure that the system impact for any related systems are taken into effect in the change management process prior to implementation.
·Cross-departmental responsibilities and matrix management of regional teams to ensure consistent execution of standardized controls and data quality metrics across all Compliance application portfolios.
·Participate in decisions affecting long-range organizational goals and strategic planning.
·Manage relationship with critical senior business clients and senior technology partners
·To build effective, robust technical platforms for the AML in coordination with the Compliance and Business Users, Operations & Technology Groups around the world, a diverse group of vendors/service-providers for technology and related services, ARR and Regulators.
·Responsible for reporting findings, and recommending appropriate technology interventions, where needed.
·Apply knowledge and understanding of business to solving a variety of Compliance problems by working directly with the senior business and compliance managers.
·Is consulted often by others for advice and opinions.
·Compliance will rely on the candidate&rsquo;s ability to deliver the desired solution without believing it necessary to monitor the progress at the micro level.
·Develop strategies to reduce costs, manage risk, and enhance services
·Use influencing and matrix management skills in order to ensure quality and on-time implementations of key solutions


PROJECT MANAGEMENT

·Identify stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships with each
·Direct the creation of multiple projects of work and manage their alignment to business goals
·Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across projects
·Work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives
· Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives
·Ensure adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
·Facilitate the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
·Facilitate the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
· Act as client liaison for crisis management issues.


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
·Must have a minimum of 5-years experience in managing a technology organization of 10 or more people; and at least 10 years of experience with technology.
· Must have experience in participating in the management of multiple concurrent initiatives.
· Strong skills in Program/ Project Management, interpersonal relationships, and communication (written and verbal).
· Must be able to work in environment with challenging deadlines and across a large organization.
· Prior experience in the financial industry is desirable as this prior knowledge will allow the prospective candidate to ramp up quickly in the execution of his\\ her job.
