Senior Network Engineer
Job Description
 

Specific Responsibilities: 
Articulate strategic technical plans and execute.  Hands-on experience is required
Support the company global infrastructure from NY.  The infrastructure includes Routing, Switching, LAN, WAN, Internet, heavy VOIP and Data.
Work with  audit staff to address outstanding issues that arise in the security audit.
Manage the Telco vendors (MPLS, DS3 Voice and SIP) who provide wide area network services to the company environment.  BGP & EIGRP
Work with the Enterprise Management Center to ensure 24/7 availability of all network resources.  This includes performance monitoring and operations to ensure customer service level agreements are met.
Work with all other IT infrastructure and development groups to ensure access to applications/resources.
Work with the Service Desk staff to address any user issues in conjunction with service level agreements.
Work with other divisions to provide enterprise access/resources to the global company community.
Design and manage large projects.  Coordinate activities among various divisions.
 
 

Education Experience Skills:
Minimum of 5-7 years in network services and infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, Internet and VOIP support is required. 
 
PREFERRED:
Experience managing IT infrastructure.  Work in a dynamic team environment.

Purpose
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Finance and Administration
serves as the chief financial officer on all fiscal matters and is
responsible for providing ethical leadership, management and oversight of
IFAW's administrative and finance functions. The V.P. of Finance and
Administration will manage effective and streamlined
administrative/financial systems that include financial management,
accounting, information technology and physical infrastructure throughout
our global organization.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Financial Management
Plan, develop and direct the fiscal management of the organization's
resources worldwide. Ensure oversight of the day-to-day banking and
accounting function to ensure the dependable flow of finances to the
organization's operations and campaigns; monitor spending and revenue to
minimize any organizational financial risk. This includes managing and
overseeing currency exchange.

Work closely with senior leadership to oversee and manage annual budgets.
This includes developing, revising and reporting on budgets. Provide
leadership in the long-range financial planning, analysis and forecasting.
Advise the CEO on business issues and the potential fiscal impact. Provide
leadership to the strategic planning and budgeting processes.

Develop, improve and implement policies, systems and procedures to track
restricted expenditures against restricted funding sources and govern
assigned financial and administrative functions.

Manage and oversee financial compliance with applicable federal, state,
local jurisdictional statutes and regulations regarding accounting,
purchasing, payroll, fiscal reporting policies and procedures in accordance
with charitable standards.

Mentor and direct financial management team worldwide to ensure accurate
financial representation of organizational activities, compliance with
external reporting requirements and the efficiency of the organization's

Administration
Plan, develop and direct the Technical Operations needs for the
organization. Work with Technical Operations Group staff to ensure the
ongoing maintenance and updating of information systems and infrastructure.
Monitor and review IT operating policies, practices and standards.

Oversee risk management and relevant legal activities including letters of
agreement, institutional contracts, leases and other legal documents and
agreements.

Provide oversight to HQ building facilities, maintenance, budgets and
safety/security. Oversee insurance for Country offices.

Working with the CEO, provide staff support and guidance to IFAW's Board of
Directors and act as a liaison to relevant board committees.

Present relevant financial data and report to Institutional Advancement
Committee.
Streamline administrative process and structure to gain global efficiencies.

Job Requirements
Degree in accounting/business administration; CPA and/or MBA in finance or
accounting strongly preferred.
10+ years experience as a senior financial manager in non-profit financial
systems. Demonstrated international auditing and US GAAP accounting
expertise.

Strong organizational and financial management skills, including
treasury/cash management.

Proven ability to provide accurate financial reports and skills to implement
innovative solutions to meet changing organizational needs, ability to bring
creativity and collaboration to the process of developing financial systems.

Excellent communication skills; able to present relevant information to
financial and non-financial people.

Experience in an international organization with multiple offices highly
desirable.

We currently have several contract to hire opportunities for data Warehouse
Engineers at a major company in King of Prussia, PA. Our client’s e-commerce
solution includes Web site design and development, e-commerce technology,
managed hosting, order fulfillment, customer service, merchandising and order
management, online merchandising, customer relationship management, content
development and online marketing.

The Senior Data warehouse Engineer will plan and execute projects that require
close coordination with Business and Information Technology groups. The
positions support overall development and service delivery projects reporting to
the Manager of ETL Processing.

Although the primary focus of this role is ETL design/development/support, the
ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of full-lifecycle data-warehouse
development skills that includes experience with reporting/BI concepts. The
resource will function as part of a broader team that is responsible for not
only supporting the ETL solution, but supporting the reporting tools and
processes that run on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Perform hands-on design, development and testing within the ETL tool
environment using a mixture of GUI driven tools and hands-on SQL
* Provide ETL design, development and testing estimations based business
requirements and research into data that is currently sourced.
* Interface with the BI Team to support the design of reports and
dashboards meeting business requirements downstream.

intelligence, data population, data management, metadata management, and
warehouse administration
* Responsible for supporting the architecture and design of the data
warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data
initiatives
* Identify data warehousing issues and assist in their resolution
* Review project work products, including project work plans, business
activity and information models, test plans, content storage design, and
application component design
* Performs table and interface design, development of logical and physical
data model/database, ETL processes, BI reporting/OLAP cubes/OLAP reporting,
and population and tuning of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries
while meeting business/user requirements
* Facilitates requirements definition and contributes to documentation of
project and system documentation
* Provide infrastructure support for the BI/ETL environment
* Research and analyze various data source systems, applications and
perform data research/analysis
* Provide project, system and other technical documentation as required

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related
field
* Strong SQL Skills
* Knowledge of ETL tool inner workings, appropriate design techniques to
support restartability, and high volume data load techniques
* Knowledge of a BI/reporting tool functions and report
execution/performance concepts
* Ability to work on multiple small projects simultaneously, multi-tasking
and balancing work based on priority
* 6-9+ years of IT development experience in developing full lifecycle
implementations, support, and upgrades.

* 6+ years of Data Warehouse experience.
* 3+ years of experience with ETL tool, preferably Sagent, DataStage or
Informatica
* 6+ years of relational database experience (SQL, tuning, optimizer,
relational concepts)

* Oracle specific and PL/SQL skills is preferred
* Strong MS Windows OS knowledge
* 2+ years UNIX experience
* Excellent written and verbal communicate skills with both technical and
non-technical staff
* Ability to form durable, flexible work relationships
