Sr. Technical Services Systems Engineer
Location: Trumbull, CT area
Salary target: 80K plus bonus

Industry leading Trumbull, CT area client seeks a successful Technical
Services Systems Engineer to join their team. As part of a five person
team you will take a lead role in design, operations and management of
complex enterprise systems, integrating a variety of platforms, operating
systems, and enterprise office applications.

Principal Responsibilities & Activities:

- Support of complex and diverse technology systems including LAN
Servers and Microsoft Operating Systems, VMWare Virtualization, Citrix,
Storage Area Networks, and Systems Security.
- Make recommendations related to systems architecture, evaluation of
hardware and software products.
- Provide high level technical support by analyzing hardware and/or
software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and
developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions.
- Responsibility for maintaining technology systems including servers,
operating systems, virtualization, storage as well as all critical
applications.
- Recommend and implement server policies, standards, and adherence to
security procedures.
- Monitor daily performance of servers. Maintain proper level of
communications with end-users.
- Ensure adherence to corporate backup policies including the design,
daily backup monitoring and reporting, offsite tape/media rotation for all
backup sites, retention policies, and scheme additions as new servers are
introduced.
- Manage security and monitor corporate anti-virus, spyware and
desktop firewall systems.
- Manage all system projects including VMWare, SAN's, Citrix,
Microsoft OS and Office Configurations.
- Utilize software and hardware diagnostic tools to identify, diagnose
and repair complex problems and factors affecting systems performance.
- Develop and maintain systems documentation, including diagrams,
Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
- Perform after hours support duties to sustain 100 plus node wide
area network networking systems and service levels.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field, or equivalent experience
with 8-10 years practical hands on experience. MCSE, VMWare, or Citrix
Certified Preferred.

KNOW HOW AND SKILLS

- Experience in the following required: Microsoft servers with
strength in active directory and group policies, VMWare, HP/IBM/Brocade SAN,
Backup technologies, network services such as DNS, DHCP, file print,
applications, systems security, anti-virus software, firewall configuration
and maintenance, server backups and data archiving, network monitoring and
alerting, software distribution and Server room maintenance are required.
- Thorough knowledge of Cisco routing, voice/data communications,
network architecture and firewall configuration maintenance, network
protocol traffic management, web server configuration and management
preferred.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problems solving skills
required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation and time
management skills.
- Strong team player.

The successful candidate should have excellent analytical and communication
skills, both written and verbal as well as the ability to work in a team
environment.
Bachelors Degree in IT, Business or related field or equivalent 5-10 years
practical hands on experience in supporting above.

Senior Network Engineer
Job Description
 

Specific Responsibilities: 
Articulate strategic technical plans and execute.  Hands-on experience is required
Support the company global infrastructure from NY.  The infrastructure includes Routing, Switching, LAN, WAN, Internet, heavy VOIP and Data.
Work with  audit staff to address outstanding issues that arise in the security audit.
Manage the Telco vendors (MPLS, DS3 Voice and SIP) who provide wide area network services to the company environment.  BGP & EIGRP
Work with the Enterprise Management Center to ensure 24/7 availability of all network resources.  This includes performance monitoring and operations to ensure customer service level agreements are met.
Work with all other IT infrastructure and development groups to ensure access to applications/resources.
Work with the Service Desk staff to address any user issues in conjunction with service level agreements.
Work with other divisions to provide enterprise access/resources to the global company community.
Design and manage large projects.  Coordinate activities among various divisions.
 
 

Education Experience Skills:
Minimum of 5-7 years in network services and infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, Internet and VOIP support is required. 
 
PREFERRED:
Experience managing IT infrastructure.  Work in a dynamic team environment.

Good interpersonal skills, team player, attention to detail, highly motivated, desire to learn new technologies, excellent verbal communication skills are required. Knowledge of business needs and the ability to translate into technical solutions is required.  Must to be able to prioritize work to ensure that focus is on meeting customer service levels.

Python Developer - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $130K - $150K / Year

3+ years of work experience in the financial industry, solid knowledge of Python, SQL and .Net. Knowledge of the secondary loan trading market including TRS on Loans is strongly preferred . Working experience with vendor applications such as LoanTrak or LoanIQ is big plus. 

Primary Duties Include: 

• Delivering Python modules and packages for distributed use in the Investment Bank. 
• Delivering classes and components for .NET-based applications for the Investment Bank. 
• Work with a team of developers to build a multi-tier, complex Enterprise trading ecosystem. 
• Build software solutions according to the quality and delivery standards of the bank. 
• Database design and development . 
• Server side development of ETL processes to deliver data to downstream systems . 
• Building automated test solutions and UI components to manage downstream feeds . 
• Interfacing with other development teams to support various implementations . 
• Working with project managers and business analysts to understand project requirements. 
• Ability to deliver quality product in very short timeframes. 

Skills Needed: 

• 3+ years of active Python development. Very strong applicants with less Python experience will be considered, but Python will be the primary development language. Applicants must have a desire to learn and use Python. 

• Experience with mathematical Python modules such as NumPy is desirable. 

• Experience with SqlAlchemy is strongly preferred. 

• Experience with ReportLab is nice to have. 

• 2+ years experience with .NET (preferably C# and IronPython) developing enterprise software solutions. 
• Must have experience with MS SQL Server with excellent T-SQL knowledge, including stored procedures, user-defined functions and LINQ . 
• Good communication skills. 
• Expert level knowledge of SDLC methodology with an emphasis on Agile development processes, unit testing and continuous integration. 

• Some C++ knowledge is nice to have. This project won’t actively develop in C++, but many of the core system modules are written in C++ and “glued” together with Python. The ability to read and understand C++ will be helpful. 

• Working knowledge of Sql Server Reporting Services is nice to have. 

Experience: 

• 3+ years of the hands-on development experience in the financial sector 
• Syndicated Loan Trading and TRS business knowledge is strongly preferred 
• Experience with LoanTrak is a very nice to have

The Technical Solution Architect will support the IT IS pre-sales opportunities and billable enterprise consulting projects.

A Technical Solution Architect supports IT IS largest revenue and strategic opportunities.

Their specific roles and responsibilities are:
1. Technical Solution of Complex / Custom Bids that require:
o Multi-technology domain opportunities
o Large impacting revenue opportunities
2. Working with internal resources and the Solution Center, program managing response for large, complex bids
3. Key interface to Product Management team for productized management services SME support
4. Linkage to COE for technology subject matter expert (SME) support
5. Ownership of overall bid for large opportunities
6. Facilitate deal review for assets or services that are not covered as core competencies.
7. Interface with Professional Services on complex bids
8. Liaise with Partners/Vendors to fulfill responses
9. Customer-facing support with sales team(s) in positioning IT IS services.
o Presenting IT IS services catalog and strategy in face-to-face customer meetings
o Working with Business Development Teams to quality and shape opportunity
o Developing sales strategy with sales team
o Creation / editing of supporting sales collateral for opportunity
10. Feedback to Product Management on new service features, pricing issues, and other service related issues.

Experience with Global Delivery Model would be helpful.
