ERP Solutions Advisor
Responsibilities
The ERP Solutions Advisor (ERPSA) will consult with business, academic and technical clients throughout the university community to review their technology plans, needs, and wish lists. These needs may be ERP related or may involve other types of applications. The ERPSA will then research potential solutions, which could include building new solutions, modifying existing solutions, out sourcing, software as a service or creating process change without technology. Possible solutions will be provided to the clients.
The ERPSA will document the technical and business requirements for solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency of the University's business. The ERPSA is to create and maintain a strategic partnership between the University's business needs and the technology delivery.
The ERPSA is responsible for articulating the business requirements and related business rules based on the needs of the functional business unit. The Analyst works closely with the subject matter experts to create and revise the following analysis artifacts and deliverables:
 Process Maps
 Business Requirements
 Business Rules
 User Stories
 User Flows
 Acceptance Tests

Skills
The ERPSA must possess excellent communications, listening and consulting skills. They should have technical experience in with ERP systems, reporting, databases and other software solutions, such as workflow or document management. They should be knowledgeable in application development and project implementation and management.
Examples of skills desired:
 Application and Integration design methodologies, standards and best practices (SOA, OOAD, AOP)
 Business requirements gathering, Joint Application Design (JAD), Business Process Modeling (BPM) and Business Process Decomposition processes
 Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience
 UML and Business process modeling
 Industry standard processes (SDLC, CMMI, Change Mgmt, ITIL, etc.)
 Familiarity with User Interfaces (Web, GUI, Legacy, Handhelds) and usability methodologies
 Hands-on experience in one or more of the following technologies is required: Java , J2EE, EJB and JMS, Web services and XML; Java Application Servers , C++ , .NET and/or Oracle reporting environments - Oracle and/or SQL Server database.
Experience
Higher Education experience is preferred, but experience with ERP System in a large enterprise is acceptable.
Experience with Banner by Sungard Higher Education is preferred, but experience with ERP Systems and Oracle is acceptable.
Experience with 3rd party add-ons to ERP systems is required.
Experience in business consulting, business or systems analysis is required.
BA/BS Degree, in a technology related field or other degree preferred.
