Let me know your thoughts and please do pass this on.....Here is a basic overview:Client is undertaking an Application Development and Maintenance Optimization Initiative.One of the key initiatives is to inventory, assess, and optimize firm-wide sourcing strategies (on-shore/near-shore, off-shore, managed services).
This position is the individual who will lead that effort.
Primary responsibilities:
· Work directly with Senior O&S Management across all business units (including corporate functions) of the firm, to:
Document their current sourcing approaches and ratios
Assess their current sourcing approach versus corporate guidelines/targets and industry best practices
Define a strategy to implement a revised sourcing approach (as needed) based on business drivers/characteristics, and the application dispensation metrics from the application inventory currently being developed in a related ADM Optimization effort.
Define a phasing plan to migrate from the current state to the strategic sourcing target.
· Matrix-manage the firm-wide sourcing effort through the Program Office.
· Have budget responsibility for the Sourcing Program Office.
