We currently have a full time permanent
position for a Technical Manager at our client company in King of Prussia,
PA. The specs are as follows:

Technical Manager

Overview:
Technical Managers play a key
technology leadership position in the TIS department. They oversee all
development activities across all areas of the projects, including all internal
and external parties. They drive the technical solution through requirements,
design, development, test and deployment. Technical Managers are skilled at
managing the technical risks to project success and driving solutions through
to completion.

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the
end-to-end technical solution for the project.
- Coordinate all development activities across the development groups
within a project.
- Work with the Technical Leads from each functional domain to define
work parcels and allocate developers to work.
- Review and approve work estimates from the project staff.
- Signoff point on all technical designs and SRS documents
- Build the WBS for the development activities based on effort, developer
staffing and dependencies. Distribute to the PM to incorporate into the project
WBS for tracking purposes.
- Track development activities across all functional domains through daily or
weekly development checkpoint meetings.
- Identify all impediments that impact development plan, work with the
Project Manager to assign owners and track progress on closing issues.
- Ensure that code packages, branches, and releases are coordinated
appropriately. Work with Release Management and Shared Services to achieve this
end.
- Review and signoff on all deployment and associated validation plans
- When an issue impact or change impacts the budget or delivery date, work with
Project Manager to submit Change Requests for approval
- Assure the team meets all development standards and policies as defined by
Development Management.
- Ensure the team receives approvals for design, code review,
architectural approval and respective Development Change Board approvals.
Manage to closure any issues impacting these approvals.
- Participate in project wrap-up sessions to highlight successes and
failures of the team. Create and manage remediation plans with the development
team for failures to avoid repeat.
- Assist with mentoring new developers on development process and
methodology.
- Assist the Development Resource Manager with performance evaluation of team
members providing input on job performance.

Qualifications:- Demonstrated project
management skills across diverse technology platforms
- Demonstrated past experience leading Java and/or mainframe/AS400 application
development projects
- Experience working in collaborative development teams using revision control
systems such as SVN
- Demonstrated experience managing dynamic projects on tight schedules
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is
required
- Prior experience in e-commerce software application development is preferred
- Experienced managing advanced Java development projects is preferred
- Hands on experience with Oracle 8i or higher, BEA Web Logic 7.0 or higher
desired
- Experience managing integrations with XML / SOAP technologies is desired
- Experience leading Spring MVC(preferred) / Apache Struts Web Application
Frameworks is desired
- Strong attention to detail, good communications skills, and a positive
attitude required

Lead e-commerce Supply Chain Developer

This position is for a hard core
back end developer (Oracle, MySql). The
client will be implementing Open Source (Java, Eclipse) type technology. They will not be going with Microsoft
technology.

Overview:
7-10 years experience in
application development with a strong focus on e-commerce and Supply Chain
development including Warehouse Management systems, shipping software (UPS /
FEDEX), EDI and Payment processing. Must possess strong business
analysis/system design skills and have demonstrated strong project management
expertise. Experience in a variety of development environments including;
Eclipse, LAMP, Java, Ruby, PHP, CSS, HTML, DHTML, etc. required. Must
have experience implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) which relies
exclusively on Web Service calls to manage business processes. Experience
working with ERP systems and Supply Chain management software desired.

Responsibilities:
This is a unique opportunity for a
highly motivated developer to join a start-up business within an established
e-commerce powerhouse.
We are seeking a lead e-commerce
Supply Chain developer to design and develop significant portions of our
product platform. The Development Lead will work with the entire e-commerce
development team to design, develop and deploy various elements of our platform
which will allow for the integration and data transfer with a variety of
warehouse management and shipping management platforms. Additionally, the
Development Lead will manage the integration to our back-end financial systems
and develop and manage a mechanism to exchange financial data with our partners
(EDI, Extranet, etc.).

Qualifications:
* Strong e-commerce and / or software product development experience:

Overall 7-10 years experience in application development

Extensive experience working with either UPS or FEDEX shipping systems

Experience with current development tools such as Eclipse, C#, ASP.Net, XML,
Java, Ruby, AJAX, CSS, HTML

Experience working with Oracle and MySQL databases

Experience working with various Warehouse Management and Supply Chain
Management systems

Experience implementing SOA / Web Services as the core development methodology

Experience building N-tier web and business applications

Experience working for a company for which software is the product is desirable

Experience developing or managing data exchange platforms such as EDI

ERP implementation experience a plus

Demonstrated focus on quality (unit testing, system testing, user acceptance
testing)

* IT infrastructure experience focused on web site hosting and transaction processing desirable, but not required
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required

Candidate must have development
experience with (preferably) UPS and or FEDEX systems.
Candidate must have experience with
implementing or developing ANY warehouse management system.
Candidate will be involved in 85%
development and will have direct interaction with UPS.
Current team of 5, but will grow up to 20.

My client is looking for a Recognized Technical Expert in the persistent
surveillance marketplace - (EO/IR, & Sensors)

As a Market Segment Systems Engineer you will be part of the Technology
Office reporting to the CTO with a dotted line to the Product Management
group.

Position Responsibilities:

· Gather and define system engineering requirements for a segment
(EO/IR, & Sensors) in persistent surveillance

· Convey those requirements to internal / external constituencies
with the twin goals of: - Ensuring the right technical information to make
product architecture decisions - Generating business development
opportunities for current and future product and / or service offerings.

· Work closely with Business Development and Product Management to
make product roadmap decisions that will fuel future growth

· Promote products and services in the context of solving
system-level problems. Work with Product System Engineers to help translate
market requirements into product requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· BS/MS degree in engineering or computer science.

· A minimum of 10 years system engineering experience - analyzing,
designing, and building end-to-end C4ISR Systems with a strong emphasis on
the target market segment. (Persistent Surveillance)

· Must have strong subject matter knowledge in one or more of the
areas regarded as Persistent Surveillance - EO/IR & Sensors or other related
technologies - Need to be able to work directly with clients
gathering/determining requirements, doing technical design and architecture
and acting as a bridge to Product Engineering & Product Line Management.

2 Key Points:

1. We need people that have been actively involved in the development of
EO/IR sensor processing systems, so they understand the key technology
drivers associated with doing these kind of things.

2. Scope of technology understanding (embedded processor, switch fabric,
environmental specifications, software at multiple levels, OS, signal/image
processing libraries, middleware and overall application categories.

· Prior experience evaluating various hardware / software technology
tradeoffs in the development of a system-level C4ISR solutions.

· Prior experience planning technology insertions and evaluating
technical refresh levels.

· Prior experience providing direction and guidance to less
experienced engineers across a cross-functional engineering organization.

· Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance or
have had one within the last 2 years.
