Jagiela, Director, Global Logistics Network Planning, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (www.wyeth.com) Risk management and mitigation techniques have emerged as central elements of successful supply chain management strategies. From fluctuations in fuel costs to the uncertain politics and economies of countries from which raw materials and component products are sourced, disruptions and delays of supply chain flows threaten the profitability of every firm competing in today's global business environment.
Speaker Bios:
Natalia Armstrong Natalia joined Johnson & Johnson in 2004 and held the role of Director of Operations, Global Transportation Organization. In this role she had responsibility for transportation operational support provided across J&J product sectors of Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Products and Medical Device and Diagnostics. Currently she is assigned as to the Worldwide Transportation Team which is chartered to leverage Global Procurement (air/ocean/parcel/brokerage), Supply Chain Visibility, Compliance, Security, Transportation Technology, Strategy, Contracts and Transportation Best Practices across the global Johnson & Johnson enterprise. Additionally, Natalia is serving as the current Chairman of the Board for the Health and Personal Care Logistics Conference, a national organization engaged in the benchmarking and education of supply chain professionals in the health and personal care manufacturing industry. In 1998 Natalia completed a successful 20 year carrier as a US Army Transportation Officer. At the time of retirement Natalia was the Senior Deployment Operations Planner for Mid-East and Africa operations, United States Transportation Command, Mobility Command Center , Scott Air Force Base, IL. After retirement, Natalia joined Logistics Management Solutions, a third party logistics provider based in Saint Louis , Missouri . Natalia received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida . She also holds a Masters of Science from Webster University in Human Resources Development. Jeffrey R. Jagiela In Jeff's current role, he and his team are responsible for providing leadership and strategy development across all company divisions for the Global Logistics Network. This includes planning the global logistics capacity strategy, aligning with the various trade channel strategies employed, ensuring global logistics capabilities for key core products across the Global Supply Chain, and minimizing logistics risk. Jeff has nearly 25 years experience in both pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare. In addition to his current Wyeth experience, he has worked with Johnson & Johnson and Aventis Pharmaceuticals. During that time he held responsibilities within Customer Service, Logistics, Operations, Materials Management, Purchasing and e-business. Jeff holds a B.S. degree from Millersville University .
