Position: Business Manager
Job Description: Provide direct operational support for fiscal management of the business, including accounting, cash flow management, report development and analysis. Report directly to the CFO in support of all aspects of financial operations. This role will require interaction and support to all areas of the company (Corporate, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Construction) . The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and strong attention to detail and follow-through. The Business Manager role is critical to the day to day operation of the business, and must demonstrate experience in relevant routine operations combined with sound business judgment. This is a ground floor opportunity for a qualified candidate: a key managerial role with a leading company in the exploding field of solar energy.
Responsibilities:
⢠Direct support for all AP and AR operations, including expense management, disbursement operations, payroll, routine filings and tax payments, invoicing, collections, and a wide variety of cash flow management and related tracking and accounting functions.
⢠Interact directly with customers and suppliers in support of routine AP, and AR functions.
⢠Use of spreadsheets for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
⢠Making all QuickBooks entries and related reporting.
⢠Routine monitoring, tracking, and analysis of the production base, with customer contact and interaction with technical operations as needed
⢠Support all the banking functions and manage daily banking operations.
⢠Support the CFO on various fiscal management and business development efforts
⢠Operational support for all fiscal matters across the business (sales, engineering, construction, administration) .
Qualifications:
⢠College graduate in a financial or business discipline is required. Accounting experience is required; an accounting degree is preferred but not required.
⢠5 to 7 years experience in a corporate environment required. Experience in related fields (construction, real estate, etc.) preferred but not required.
⢠Demonstrated experience working directly with customers and business partners (suppliers, banks, etc), including effective management of difficult situations (collections, dispute resolution, customer complaints, etc).
⢠Experience with QuickBooks or related financial software required
⢠Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite of Programs, required
⢠Strong PowerPoint skills
⢠Exceptional attention to detail and reliable follow-through relatively independently
⢠Comfortable working in a fast paced, and changing environment in a dynamic, growing, and highly competitive industry. Must be a fast learner and self directed, with excellent communication, interpersonal and team interaction skills. Ability to multi task, work under pressure, and manage shifting priorities are all required.

Role
Directs and supports all contract third party vendor negotiations within the Information Management (IM) Procurement scope. Leads the procurement process for IM. Sets procurement standards for IM. Facilitates the definition of terms for client's business, commercial, legal, and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
Establishes IM's procurement standards and policies
Establishes IM's procurement process
Guides IM through IM procurement
Procures software, services, Telecom, and hardware
Negotiates commercial terms within vendor agreements
Facilitates business and technical terms with IM resources
Facilitates legal terms with Legal and/or external counsel
Facilitates discussions and negotiations to closure of agreements
Develops RFx processes and policies
Manages RFx benchmarking for procurement solutions.
Manages issue management process internally and with vendors
Facilitates the resolution of all contract related issues
Facilitates completion of the contract review and approval form (CRAF)
Working with Counterparts, responsible for managing Asset Management function related to listed Procurement Commodities.
Coordinates PR/PO Procurement actions via SAP / Ariba
Provides interpretation and clarification of elements of the contract. As required, consults with or employs Legal Counsel to assist with or provide final contract interpretations.
Establishes and maintains mechanisms to track completion or adherence to all contract deliverables and obligations
Advises on escalated disputes that may arise with multiple vendors.
Ensures consistent language across responsible Corporate IM Agreements.
Maintains the currency of the official copy of the contracts and associated exhibits & schedules.
Reviews and provides contractual advice on project proposals and associated business cases.
Provides for other functions as defined by the Manager, IM Contracts, Licensing & Finance.
