exceptional candidates for two very special clients in particular.
The first client Company has been associated with innovation in providing
world-class pharmaceutical and diagnostic products, and, increasing the
utility of genomic science discovery for many years. The Company's mission
is to bring the findings of research to physicians in the community setting
and provide important decision-making tools that advance the treatment,
management, and care of their patients. The Company's research
collaborations with premier proteomic and genomic investigators are forging
new and exciting pathways in the expanding arena of molecular medicine.
These innovations are fundamentally changing the delivery of healthcare.
The Company has assembled a prestigious scientific advisory board of
renowned scientists and physicians to assist in providing overall leadership
and guidance.
Vice President, Clinical Affairs
The Vice President, Clinical Affairs is a key position. He/she will be
responsible for the Clinical Affairs Department, including the direction,
planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials and the data
collection activities. The Vice President, Clinical Affairs will also be
responsible for creating the clinical trial programs at the Company that
ensures that trials support global development programs.
More specifically, the major duties of the Vice President, Clinical Affairs
are:
* Develop and implement all clinical strategies for the Company
* Establish and approve scientific methods for design, monitoring and
reporting of clinical trials in the U.S.
* Review the development of clinical protocols, investigator
brochures, tabulation and analysis of results
* Monitor adherence to protocols
* Interact with various internal and external groups to facilitate
clinical trials research
* Participate in strategic discussions for R & D projects
* Advise and participate in meetings with FDA
* Integrate clinical programs worldwide to efficiently manage
development worldwide
* Direct and oversee development of department staff, including
directors, managers and other staff
* Interact with Key Opinion Leaders on a global basis, and build and
foster relationships with them
In order to be considered candidates must be/have:
* An advanced level education, i.e., M.D., Ph.D., or possibly a
PharmD, is absolutely required. Oncology experience is preferred.
* He/she will have proven ability to foster relationships with Key
Opinion Leaders on a global basis and demonstrated ability to make
high-level decisions and work as a team with other management members.
* A working knowledge of statistics as it applies to clinical analysis
of trials is important.
The Company is publicly traded and profitable with significant positive cash
flow and a strong balance sheet.
The position is located in the Midwest. That said, for the right candidate,
relocation may not be necessary.
The second client, West Coast based, has developed and has been marketing
for several years, a line cardiology therapeutic medical devices.
Vice President, Global Marketing
The Vice President, Marketing will be a respected leader in the medical
device arena, preferably within the cardiovascular space, with a
demonstrated track record of success through "hands-on, roll up the sleeves"
interaction with his/her teams.
Strategic marketing, tactical marketing distribution, building "brand"
identity, partnering and building strong marketing and business development
teams should have been cornerstones of prior accomplishment.
