As a Business Analyst for Allied Building Products, you will will support
application user requirements by compiling, organizing and carrying out
tasks and projects designed to fulfill user needs. This position will
interact directly with the business users and coordinate the processes
required to resolve business requirements utilizing the tools of the
Information Technology department.

Complete Job Description

* Gather data related business requirements from the Business
Applications Manager as well as through regular direct contact with
application users.

* Translate business requirements into written specifications and
action plans

* Develop and maintain process documentation

* Analyze business functions and application software as required

* Develop and maintain methodologies for maintaining regular
communications with application users and Management

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

* BS or equivalent work experience.

* 2+ years experience performing business analysis

* Experience in a complex, large scale, distributed technology
environment

* ERP systems (Trend/SX.enterprise), RDBMS (Progress/SQL 2000), BI
Software (Cognos), MS Office, UNIX, Windows

* Analytical skills

* Understanding of business applications, specifically ERP software

* Understanding of Relational Database concepts

* Communication skills

* Capacity to understand and analyze business requirements

* Ability to meet delivery deadlines to support critical business
decisions

* Ability to manage simultaneous tasks

* Detail oriented with organizational skills

Preferences

* Relevant experience in a wholesale distribution company preferred
