Re: [itroundtable] RE: [CIT_Group] Please Sign the Petition to Continue UnemploymentBenefits Program!

Sorry to intervene. Having both houses filled with the representatives of the same party, in fact, having a totalitarian regime in the country, is exactly what has brought us to our knees.
I think this is what everyone has to look at and not how to extend the unemployment benefits. We need to put those representatives in place who would bring us jobs, who would close our borders and send the illegals back to where they came from, who would ensure the security in this country not by stripping us naked or scanning us to cancer at the airports, etc., etc.. When did we turn into beggers? When did it happen that the Americans started begging  the corrupt government with a "leader" who has never maid a payroll to throw them a bone?
What message are you trying to convey? And why don't you believe in your own abilities and talents that you want an extension of the lousy benefits? I am not in a better situation than you are, but I feel disgusting by accepting these checks even though this is my first unemployment after more than 20 years of hardship.... I wish I had a job, not an extension....

Ontell,

Thank you for your observation. I think Barbara may be thinking that one party is more compassionate then the other. I wonder which one she believes would help the needy the most?

As a former person who was active in CIT and still keeps on the distribution list if she can help someone, I have no problem with anyone saying go out to vote.

I do have a problem with people recommending to vote for any party.

This is not the first time nor the second that an email has gone out recommending one party or the other.

If this continues, I will have my name removed from the distributioin list.

This is a networking organization to help each other not to promote politics.

Don't forget to vote tomorrow for the party that will be most compassionate to those in need!

Hello -

Two million unemployed workers will be cut off from expanded federal jobless benefits in December alone -- unless Congress acts to continue the program beyond its Nov. 30 expiration.

Congress should make this the first order of business before the start of the holiday season.  That's why I've signed a Petition to Congress at Unemployedworkers.org

Here's their website:
http://unemployedworkers.org/sites/unemployedworkers/index.php

And here's the Petition to Congress:
http://www.unemployedworkers.org/page/s/Sign_the_Petition_to_Congress

Please sign the Petition.

Thanks!
