Purchasing and Inventory Management Specialist

Edison NJ based distribution company in exciting industry looking for full time purchasing and inventory manager.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain inventory levels utilizing guidelines from management
• Manage vendors, imports, brokers, and vendor invoices
• Assist with aspects of accounts payable
• Responsible for physical inventories
• Responsible for inventory transfers
• Responsible for maintaining item prices and descriptions (with support from sales and product teams)
• Assist with other accounting functions and data entry as needed

Qualifications:
• Have experience in structured purchasing environments
• Complete familiarity with MS Office products
• Familiarity with enterprise applications (purchasing modules, customer modules, backorder reports)
• Familiarity working in multi-currency environments

Can anyone recommend good audit firm to handle books for small NJ based distribution company. A friend of mine who is the president of this company would like to replace his existing audit advisors.

VP HR Service Delivery

The role of the VP HR Service Delivery is to both improve what has been deployed as well as drive the additional deployments of Service Delivery generally and the Service Center specifically.  The primary responsibility of the VP HR Services and Standardization is to be the principle architect of the design of what aspects of HR services to managers and employees can and should be provided through a standardized Service Delivery organization.  Then, using proven professional methods, determine the optimal business process, staffing levels and staffing model and finally, to provide a metrics driven approach to measuring progress and success of Service Delivery. 
 
Lead a process of interaction with CHQ and Field HR, under the direction of the EVP HR and SVP C&B to determine which current HR business processes should be integrated into the CHQ Service Delivery organization.  Parallel to that process, provide an organizational model for Service Delivery - including staffing levels but also roles and sub-units, Reorganize in close cooperation with VP HR Operations the current Employee Service Center team to separate Operations from Service Delivery; staff the leadership of Service Delivery, Establish working relationship with the ten Senior HR Business Partners, each of the heads of the Centers of Expertise and Finance.  Establish Service Level Agreements and initiate tracking and reporting of them.  Manage the Service Delivery function of HR on a corporate-wide basis - includes contact center, fulfillment and their infrastructure. 
 
Possibility of management of HR Service Delivery Reps in the field, in the future (post 2010).  Drive execution of these plans and processes into the organization; gauge adoption, overcome obstacles to take-up by associates and managers. 
 
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field.  Masters Degree or MBA is a plus. 
- 7 to 10 years experience in Human Resources with strong presence and depth in HR service delivery through a shared services business model. 
- 7 to 10 years senior level business experience leading teams delivering transactional and administrative services to employees, managers and or customers.  
- Demonstrated experience providing sound human resources consultation and management in a large collaborative, cross-functional, client focused environment.  
- Experience managing an environment with service hours that extend beyond a normal 8 hour a day, 40 hours a week schedule. 
- Proven track record of establishing credibility and rapport as a business partner with senior team as a coach in all employee and labor relations matters.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience collaborating with company personnel including senior leadership on complex topics.
