Summary/Responsibilities:
Global business solutions provider seeks a Director-level professional who
will drive implementation/execution of a Capital Markets Analytics
initiative promoting greater recognition of the firm as a service provider
in the mortgage and secondary markets. The Director will work with all
levels of management to drive business/revenue opportunities and provide
insight in the business planning/product development processes.
Track emerging industry/market/technology trends within the
mortgage/secondary markets and assist senior management in identifying
opportunities to deploy/package/create assets for those markets
Create roadmaps/reference materials/other documentation to enhance knowledge
and increase understanding of key analytic solutions/capabilities.
Provide thought leadership to position firm as leading provider of business
solutions.
Actively participate in sales/product planning within the capital markets
vertical and other business lines, offering analytical/technical support on
targeted client engagements/proposals/meetings/conference
calls/presentations.
Develop rapport with prospects/customers/firm's sales support team.
Develop case studies/capabilities documents/white papers/articles and
participate at industry and customer forums.

Requirements/Qualifications:
7-10 years experience in secondary markets, with specific experience in the
areas of analytics/modeling/research and/or valuation.
Advanced degree in Statistics or related field
(mathematics/business/finance/economics/equivalent) required
In-depth understanding of secondary markets analytics required; credit
reporting knowledge preferred
Capable of translating market trends into tangible product concepts/ideas or
solutions required
Excellent communication skills enabling strong relationship building with
clients required
Experience with SAS required; Experience with Intex, statistical modeling,
Monte Carlo simulations, linear programming strongly preferred
Proven success in creating dynamic, customer-facing problem
identification/solution-set propositions required
Project/process management experience highly desirable
In-depth knowledge of tools/software/technology platforms available within
secondary markets; direct experience in use of competitive offerings desired
Direct experience in developing/designing statistical/econometric/comparable
modeled solutions or similar empirical analyses.
Experience in working with and/or managing virtual teams preferred

Compensation: $110K - $150K / Year
Minimum Education: Bachelors
Job Type: Full Time

Knowledge of SQL and experience in Sybase Database Administration and Replication Server.

5 years Database Administration experience with at least 3 years Sybase Replication experience. Additional / preferable skills: Scripting with Perl, UNIX, Bourne, etc.

Must be able to work in a production environment with multiple database servers and a disaster recovery site.

Duties include maintenance of Database Servers in a development environment.
