The People Services (Human Resources) Manager is responsible for providing
human resource management services to DaVita management and teammates within
an assigned geographic area or central business office environment
supporting the business goals, mission, and core values of the company.
Essential Job Functions:
* Act as a subject matter expert in the area of teammate relations.
Work with leaders to resolve teammate relations issues
* Provide expertise and guidance regarding company policy, legal
considerations and compliance with core values
* Partner with management to ensure that teammates are provided a work
environment that fosters teamwork, productivity and individual growth
consistent with Mission and Values
* Facilitate and guide the performance management process as well as
the implementation and enforcement of employment policies
* Investigate and recommend course of action for teammate complaints
and grievances within assigned area
* Assist with the investigation and resolution of agency charges and
employment litigation
* Monitor teammate relations environment and provide training and
coaching to management to boost retention and productivity
* Partner with other People Services Managers and Directors to ensure
appropriate balance and consistency between local solutions and company wide
practices
* Implement programs that foster communication and create favorable
work environments at all levels of assigned areas. Develop and track
measurements to support expected outcomes
* Assist in the development and implementation of effective
recruitment processes and ensure that managers receive training and coaching
on those processes. Assist with and/or lead efforts to improve recruiting
metrics within assigned areas
* Develop and/or deliver a variety of People Services related training
programs to all levels of the organization
* Identify emerging issues or trends that indicate a need to modify
policy application, change in operational guidelines or necessitate training
within the management team supported.
* Work as a functional team member during departmental growth phases,
relocations, and reductions in force
* Participate in and/or lead a variety of projects including, but not
limited to, Teammate Satisfaction Survey action planning and pay
practice/equity reviews, Team Development, and Succession Planning
* Determine and execute local implementation plans to assist in
rollout of corporate People Services programs and initiatives
* Perform on-going community outreach activities, including internal
and external job fairs, involvement with community-based organizations, etc.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
required; Advanced degree preferred.
* 5 or more years of human resources experience preferably in
healthcare with an emphasis in teammate relations, coaching, and leadership
development with at least 3 years in a management level role
* Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships at all
levels of the organization and to influence outcomes positively
* Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of teammates
and management and work in a diverse and very fast paced environment
* Ability to proactively identify and analyze issues in the workplace
and implement solutions
* Solid experience in Recruiting and Interviewing required
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
* Platform training skills and management coaching skills
* Must be able to work in a team mindset to influence outcomes across
multiple business offices
* Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
* Ability to travel based on training requirements or designated
meetings

About the Opportunity:
The Director, Alternate Site's main responsibility is to manage the internal
customer service team (Personal Account Representatives). He/she will develop
and implement performance standards and metrics, will assess the performance of
the Personal Account Representative (PAR) team, and will insure appropriate
training and development of PARs is implemented to facilitate maximum
performance. The Director will interview, hire and train (or coordinates the
training) of all new PARs. Insures effective line of communications are
developed and maintained across all MHA departments. Analyzes membership data
to identify revenue growth opportunities and insure membership compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
• Lead and manage the Alternate Site team, ensuring policies and procedures are
followed
• Achieve proficiencies with MHA data and reporting systems, and develop
understanding of process flow and roles of operational support teams.
• Identify revenue and growth opportunities by analyzing data, growth trends
and processing member data.
• Act as liaison to other program directors, outside sales support.
• Managing Director and spokesperson for division to ensure open lines of
communications are achieved among departments and expectations are meet within
Contracts, Business Intelligence and Customer Reporting
Job Requirements:
• BA/BS degree required, preferably in business
• 7+ years experience, including 2-3 years in sales and/or account management,
and 4 years managing inside account representatives/customer service
representatives preferably in health care, pharmaceutical or medical products
industries
• Strong analytical and strategic thought leadership skills with the ability to
plan and execute at the tactical level
• Superb communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to build and manage teams, develop consensus and collaboration across
multiple, cross-functional teams
• Candidate must be result driven, possess insight and ability to provide
direction and innovation to daily responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and client-server,
web-based applications capabilities.

The WNO sent a volunteer survey to its members in August and received generous responses for support. We're following up with the folk that volunteered their services. Additionally, a sign-up sheet will be available at tomorrow's meeting.
A conference call will be held for all volunteers at which the current committee members will share the background of the WNO, how we work and projects "in the works."
