Exhibit technical competency in web technologies for a global, high transaction volume marketplace. Provide engineering support for a broad range of needs in solutions development, requirements definition, risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, vulnerability testing and scanning, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Apply experience with SDLC and the application development life-cycle and design, develop, program, configure, deploy, secure, or troubleshoot major software applications and databases. Collaborate with team leads and clients to appropriately translate functional needs into technical requirements. Demonstrate the ability to lead engineering teams and provide management-level feedback into project planning, procurement, training, and solutions architecture. Qualification Basic Qualifications: -10+ years of experience as a software developer or engineer -5+ years of experience with systems architecture and design concept development, requirements definition, and technology selection and addressing technical systems integration challenges in complex heterogeneous environments -3+ years involvement with social networking development, understanding APIs, cross platforms communications, and portal strategies -3+ years experience with web development languages and frameworks such as PHP, C++, Java, Smalltalk, Perl, Ruby, and Sprint -3+ years of experience with software application development or testing using a major software development platform -3+ years of experience with content management platforms and web application development framework such as Joomla (using PHP and MySQL) -3+ years of experience with the applications architecture and design of complex systems environments, including 4th Generation Languages, code generators, Web and application servers, SQL Server and Oracle, web services, and operating platforms -Experience implementing SOA / Web Services as the core development methodology -Experience with current development tools such as Eclipse, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XSL, XML, Java, Java Script, J2EE, AJAX, C and C++ -Experience with integrating QA into all aspects of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) and addressing quality issues (including Agile development methodology) -Experience with developing, analyzing, and presenting complex technology trade-offs to senior management -Experience with large data warehouse engineering, ETL, including SQL Server and Oracle - Large database performance tuning and High Availability -BA or BS degree Additional Qualifications: -Experience with a variety of programming languages and application development methodologies -Experience with enterprise architecture development and standards -Experience in integrating software applications with infrastructure components, including work flow engine, messaging middleware, search engine, or SSO middleware -Experience with designing large databases using a major SQL and RDBMS -Experience in SQL and DBMS specific programming with prominent DB platforms, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL -Experience with configuring various systems, including application servers, database management systems, operating systems, or network devices -Knowledge of a variety of infrastructure or network technologies -Ability to develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and estimate Level Of Work (LOE) We are proud of our diverse environment, EOE, M/F/D/V.
