Description:
Games, activities, and simulations are designed to engage and transform participants, processes, and/or attitudes. This session offers practical experiential tools and techniques that can be used at any time during training, coaching, or facilitation interventions. Participants will explore innovative approaches to openers, closers, and check-in's. In addition, participants will practice how various tools can be used for specific client goals and outcomes.

Our Speaker:
David Piltz leads the corporate office for The Learning Key, Inc. and has been creating and delivering training programs in leadership, organizational and educational change, communication, teamwork, customer service, and personal and professional effectiveness for more than 14 years. He is a specialist in instructional design and in developing interactive learning tools. He has authored articles on the topics of creating interactive training and how to make training stick. Dave has designed and delivered over 75 modules on communication, management and supervision, facilitation, delegation and has worked with numerous managers and executives in increasing their supervisory effectiveness.

He has worked as a director of residence life for a liberal arts college, a graphic illustrator and technical trainer and writer for a large manufacturing company, and an organizational and development training specialist for Penn State University.

A graduate of Saint Louis University in aerospace engineering, he holds certification in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and game design. Additionally, he has completed several graduated courses in administration, leadership, and counseling, industrial engineering, and workforce education and development. Objectives of presentation:
. List the steps in creating a just-in-time game, activity, or simulation
. Apply the elements of a successful game, activity, or simulation to your own designs
. Determine which activities meet specific client goals and outcomes
