Position Responsibilities - Summary
This position will be working directly with one of the business units. The
person will participate at various levels in all technology related
initiatives from inception to implementation and support. Through in-depth
knowledge of the business, this position will document business processes,
develop needs analysis, functional / technical specifications and perform
system / user acceptance testing around hardware and software
implementations.
Position Responsibilities – Detailed
· Form strong working relationships with internal users - both
business and technical - to facilitate reporting.
· Fulfill responsibilities related to production support as well as
application development projects simultaneously.
· Create documentation in support of technology requests
· Gather, validate, document, and facilitate implementation of
business requirements for technology initiatives (includes business/data
requirements, data flows, data modeling, workflow context and design, and
user interface designs)
· Responsible for system planning and testing
· Participate in user acceptance testing and support system training
/ documentation
· Responsible for project coordination and project reporting
standards
· Maintains project status reports that includes tasks/issues/risks
· Maintains project calendar that includes high / mid / low level
plans
· Responsible for overall status reporting to Technology Steering
Committee and Program Manager
· Monitor and document project task list, progress and resource
allocation for assigned projects
Required Skills and Competencies:
Required: 1st 5 bullets are the key
· 2 - 4 years experience as a business system's analyst in an
Investment Management environment
· Knowledge of fixed income securities required
· Experience with investment reporting systems related to fixed
income required
· Experience in Crystal Reports, MS SQL Reporting services, & MS
Report builder expertise required
· Intermediate skill level in data modeling, normalization, and SQL
queries.
· Experience with data warehouse and reporting data marts required
· Strong understanding of relational databases, reporting schemas,
data transformations
· Experience with implementation of Reporting systems / portals for
portfolio management and investment teams required
· Experience with BI tools, Cube / OLAP technology required
· Experience in User Interface design in web and client-server
environments.
· Familiarity with multiple architectures: n-tier, .NET,
client-server, etc. and multi-system application integration
· Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle
· Experience with reporting status, milestones, deliverables
regarding the project
· Experience with a large, functionally diverse, and informed user
base that demands high quality applications

Position Responsibilities - Summary
This individual, as part of a Production Support team within the Enterprise
Technology Services will provide 24X7 production support for Oracle, Sybase
and SQL Server databases. The candidate must possess both technical depth
and breadth with experience in a multi-disciplinary production environment.

have extensive Production support, automation and monitoring experience with

Responsibilities - Detailed:
· Perform 24X7 production support for Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server
· Take ownership of issues, collaborate with other teams on
remediation and manage them through completion
· Diagnose database performance anomalies
· Develop Database Capacity Planning & Trend Reporting
· Develop and execute High Availability and Disaster Recovery plans
· Manage and affect Replication changes using Oracle Advanced
Replication and Shareplex Replication
· Support Oracle and Sybase Databases on Solaris and Linux.
· Support SQL Server on WinTel platform
· Support Databases in a Veritas cluster
· Develop/Exercise Backup/Recovery procedures using RMAN

Keys to This Position:
1. Senior DBA skills with Oracle 11g and SQL Server 2005/2008 are required.
2. Sybase release 15 experience is a plus.
3. Must have experience supporting stage and production databases in a
large scale 24X7, mission critical environment - (50 Oracle databases, 20
SQL Server databases and 1 Sybase db).
4. Must be comfortable in a 24x7 shop with on call pager coverage (1 week
every 5 weeks). Response time expected is within 10 minutes from the call -
can be on call from home.
5. Technical environment also includes: Shareplex, Oracle Advanced
Replication, Linux (moving to Linux from Veritas) and strong RAC experience
is a big plus. SQL tuning is a plus.

Position Responsibilities - Summary
The client's Application Teams utilizes a centralized development DBA team
to support its ongoing development initiatives and provide day-to-day system
support. This Senior Systems Engineer function will specialize in offering
DBA support to application development teams. This individual will meet
regularly with project managers and development teams and their management
to understand their day-to-day and strategic long-term needs. This
individual will serve as a point of contact for critical system support.
This will be "hands on position" with opportunities to experiment and learn
new technologies. The DBA will participate in development efforts and
mentor the development staff in the "best practices" of Oracle development.
This position will also provide input and assistance to Production Support
Database Administrators. This position will present with opportunities to
manage small teams and growth in leadership areas both technical and
non-technical.
Keys to This Position:
1. This position is a Senior Database Engineer. The individual will have
strong experience with Oracle 11g as an Engineer. The individual will also
have solid knowledge of many of the new features of 11g (such as data change
notification, compression, reorganizational features, etc.)
2. Strong experience with PL/SQL programming and its new features. Strong
PL/SQL performance and tuning, Oracle 11g Optimizer and Oracle Internals
experience is also required.
3. Soft Skills include - we are seeking an individual that is dedicated and
driven to understand new technologies, a critical thinker and problem
solver, someone that understands root cause analysis and can demonstrate
that he/she has taken on stretch assignments.
4. This individual will partner with Development teams and have the ability
to understand business concepts.
5. This is not a Production, Test or Applications (Packaged SW) DBA - this
is more of a Development DBA/Engineer. There is No On Call for this role.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Minimum 8 years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
supporting enterprise critical production databases on LINUX and
UNIX/Solaris
