                                     Own Equities IT's relationship with all regulatory and compliance personnel within the firm.
 
                                     Program manage full delivery lifecycle of compliance and regulatory inititatives.

ubergig currently has a Full time position for a Datacenter manager located in NYC working for a major Branding company making about 120-130K a year + bonus and benefits.

 

The Director of Information Technology and Managed Services manages datacenter day to day operations, develops and implements long term strategies for datacenter and internal infrastructure, and oversees the support of Mac and PC desktop user environments.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manage technical operations of the Managed Services datacenter including systems and infrastructure, build-out, configuration, transport, deployment, performance, maintenance, testing, architecture, security, monitoring, reporting and R&D
- Maintain Service Level Standards and uptime of customer sites and applications
- Own and manage company's capital expenditure budget for all hardware and software purchases.
- Lease management for all equipment
- Research and maintain operations in the areas of pricing, procurement, policy, standards, compliance, security, R&D, technical negotiations, documentation and customer support
- Develop and implement long term strategies for datacenter and internal infrastructure
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts regarding equipment, datacenter and services
- Coordinate with IT team to build, deploy and manage client projects from development through production and maintenance
- Collaborate with software development team to meet technical standards, trouble shoot, and provide maintenance and support of internet technology business services
- Manage IT team
- Oversee technical support at the desktop user level for Mac and PC environments.
- Comply with technical security including Sarbanes-Oxley and IT Governance mandates

 

Qualifications:
- 10+ Years of technical experience with Information Technology
- 5+ Years of management experience
- Certification in advanced IT field such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) or CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking)
- BA/BS required
- Business knowledge and experience
- Proven expertise in web systems and desktop computing

 

Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in configuring, deploying and maintaining Windows Systems and Servers: IIS, SQL, Commerce Server.
- Expertise in configuring, deploying and maintaining a datacenter environment and infrastructure
- Expertise in configuring, deploying and maintaining the user IT environment: PC, MAC, Windows, Switches, Routers
- Expertise in web and data security
- Experience in related technologies and protocols, including: firewalls, digital certificates, VPN, encryption, monitoring, clustering, load balancing, web and database administration, various applications, remote control, remote access
- Experience dealing with hacks such as DOS, DDOS, Spoofing, Port Scanning, Viruses/Trojans, Intrusion, SQL Injection
- Composure under high-stress outages and technical failures
- Experience with compliance such as Sarbanes-Oxley
- Experience with CMS (Content Management Systems)
- Work on 24/7 call, able to work late at night and on weekends
