Specific duties include:

• Assist to set up projects in our project management system.
• Build the project schedule and communicate deadlines to project members.
• Track project costs and provide profitability reports to our finance
department.
• Work with Project Managers and our logistics department to schedule
technicians and ensure that they have an accurate scope of work.
• Assign tasks to project members and follow up to ensure on-time completion.
• Enter, allocate and track purchases while working with our purchasing and
receiving departments to ensure that equipment is delivered on time.
• Verify that project shipments contain all necessary parts and equipment.
• Compile and track project documentation and dispersing as appropriate.
• Provide project information to clients on a timely basis.
• Take project meeting minutes and communicate action items to project team
members.

Qualifications:
• 1-2 years project coordination experience.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• A project-oriented work ethic and a willingness to do what it takes to achieve
the project's goals.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel. Familiarity with MS
Project a plus.

The Regional Planner will maintain and manage the inventory and planning
programs for the region; Drive regional inventory levels to meet goals and

Meeting Format:
7:30 to 8:00 - Open Networking
8:00 to 8:15 - Welcome and housekeeping
8:15 to 9:30 – Presentation by the guest speaker
9:30 to 11:00 - Elevator Pitch - 30 Seconds about yourself, who you are, what
you are looking for, target companies (3-4), how we can help you, how you can
help others.
11:00 until  you choose to leave  -  Open Networking, follow up with people you
are interested in meeting following their elevator pitch, exchange business
cards, peruse the library, arrange follow up meetings, etc.
 1 - Make sure you come with the 30 second elevator pitch - honed - including
your targeted companies, your value proposition, etc.
2 - If you are not already a member of our linked in and Facebook groups please
join
3 - Once linked to our groups - link to each other - a strong network is a vital
component to a successful job search
4 - If you are a member and new to transition send a brief message to the group
(from the email you joined the breakfast club from)

PROGRAM

TOPIC:     Microsoft's Infrastructure Optimization Model
SPEAKER:   Juan Alvarado, Microsoft Corp.
Microsoft has developed a four-tiered Infrastructure Optimization Model to help
organizations diagnose the level at which their infrastructure is currently
functioning. The IOM then helps to prioritize the actions and investments
required to boost their performance. By standardizing, automating and more
tightly controlling IT infrastructure organizations may save hundreds of dollars
per desktop each year.
 
Mr. Alvarado will explain how the IOM functions. In particular, the work
required by the IT managers assessing their organizations' strengths, weaknesses
and opportunities, the process by which inefficiencies are attacked and
remedied, the four IOM levels of progress, and the specific identifiable
characteristics by which each level can be described.  
 
Juan Alvarado is a Microsoft Technology Strategist who specializes in providing
Microsoft solutions for his customers' infrastructure, LOB and mission critical
systems. He has been with Microsoft for over 5 years. Previously, He worked as
an infrastructure manager for the NBA where he was responsible for its data
center operations and leading the adoption of virtualization and other leading
edge technologies. Juan enjoys playing the guitar and is a big sports fan. He
and his wife, Monica, live in Bogota, NJ and have two young daughters.

 
Additional Meeting Information
·        The meeting will be catered and the food served buffet style. For
members and first time attendees, the cost is only $20.

·        Assuming you will be using the GSP to get to the site, take exit 131A
and proceed west on Wood Ave to 101, a short distance pass the Hilton Hotel on
the right.
