Position Responsibilities - Summary

Client is looking for an amazing financial engineer to develop the next
generation of the Firm's platform components, from infrastructure to
algorithms. Engineer will work with the team to solve problems for and
across multiple asset classes, to research and create implementations of
cutting edge ideas, and too deliver your work into the hands of customers
around the world. The ideal candidate for this project is skilled at both
quantitative analysis and software engineering.

Role will primarily be creating algorithms for the client's financial
services software platform.

Someone who is currently working on his or her Masters in Finance,
Investment Management, Mathematics or a related area, and has their BS in
Computer Science with a few years of practical experience would probably be
a great match for this role.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics – Masters a
Plus
· Strong experience developing intra-day financial models or trading
algorithms
· Knowledge of trade lifecycle and market structure for at least one
asset class
· Passion for learning about the details and dynamics of capital
markets and interacting with users and potential users of the technology the
Firm creates.
· Knowledge of at least one general programming language (C++, C#,
Java, etc.) and statistical analysis language (Matlab, R, etc.) - Strong
Server Side/Real-Time coding background.
· Experience with Complex Event Processing, Streaming Data
Applications, Real-Time Systems, High Volume Transaction Systems, or other
large - high volume – complex systems a big plus.
· Experience developing software in a team environment

Position Responsibilities - Summary

Detailed Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will be to lead the design and implementation
of new frameworks to address business problems in the Firm's target markets.
You will interact with product management, field engineers, customers and
prospective customers as well as other development team members to define,
develop and evolve Framework solutions. The Frameworks consist of
application components, a sample integrated application, Client UI
applications and supporting elements.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Minimum 5 years commercial software development experience
· Application design and programming experience in Java or C++.
Strong Server Side/Real-Time coding background
· Capital Markets front office experience – Will be building
Frameworks (Pre-Built Units), that have common components for different
types of Trading activities – Smart Order Routing – FX – Etc.
· Demonstrating experience delivering successful projects while
balancing schedule, resource and functionality constraints.
· Good verbal and written communication skills and a desire to
interact to solve problems
· Attention to detail
· Enjoys and promotes teamwork
· Experience working with cross-functional teams involving QA,
documentation, and usability
· A Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar

Pluses:

· Experience with Complex Event Processing, Streaming Data
Applications, Real-Time Systems, High Volume Transaction Systems, or other
large - high volume – complex systems a big plus.
· Experience with test-driven development and/or automated UI
testing
· Experience developing user interface applications using modern
programming environments that might include – Java, C#/.Net and Adobe Flex
· Previous startup experience

telecommunications, and backups for office locations in Mass., NY, and
London.
· Provide general support to internal onsite and remote end-users.
· Coordinate with engineering, technical support, sales, and field
services to understand IT requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· BS in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent
experience.
· Three or more years experience as a hands-on administrator for a
variety of technologies.
· Windows, Exchange, and Active Directory administration.
· Unix administration with Linux (Debian, Red Hat) is required;
Solaris is a plus.
· Script programming with at least one of the following – PERL –
Python - Bash.
· Must be self-sufficient and have willingness to work/maintain all
systems/products – This will be a one-man show with support/backup from
engineering – Great opportunity to manage all technologies.
· Strong communications & customer service mindset.

Experience with the following technologies:

· VMware Server and Java Application Servers

Position Responsibilities - Summary

The candidate will work closely with the sales executives responsible for
partner business development and act as the primary contact for technical
sales enablement. Building a strong knowledge of the Firm's product and the

Working closely with the channel partners sales and technical teams to:

· Train the channel partners to have a thorough understanding of the

technology solutions.
· Assist in discussions of high-level solution viability and
implementation strategies.
· Support partners use of product demos as part of their sales
effort.
· Support partners that are developing Proof-of-Concept (POC)
implementations for prospective customers.
· Understands project requirements and limitations.
· Assesses current environments including connectivity/integration
needs.
· Evaluates project scope to determine feasibility and resource
requirements.
· Seeks to reuse and or leverage existing Frameworks and previous
POC deliverables.
· Understands the partner's business and existing products and
installed customer base to create compelling integration to enable up-sell
of existing customers.
· Respond to customer questions and/or problems in a timely fashion.
· Familiarize partner personnel with product concepts, features, and
functionality.
· Understands customer requirements and drivers, and provides
partners with solutions and roadmaps using the Firm's technology.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Required Experience:

· M.S. preferred with strong academic credentials in computer
science, engineering, or related field.
· 5 years experience as a developer of enterprise or systems level
software.
· Experience with Complex Event Processing, Streaming Data
Applications, Real-Time Systems, High Volume Transaction Systems, or other
large - high volume – complex systems.
· 2-4 years Sales Engineering or Channel Sales Engineering
experience, including experience in a start-up environment - Demonstrated
successful software sales.
· Experience in related areas such as real-time systems or with
applications such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft is a plus.
· Experience selling into financial services firms & trading
infrastructure knowledge.
· Strong analytical and business process skills, and ability to
apply them to technical solutions.
· An understanding of the strategic challenges of the financial
management industry is a must.

Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of Linux, Solaris, and Windows operating
systems, including installation, configuration, system administration, and
troubleshooting procedures.
· Solid hands-on experience in networking, firewall and system
software configuration.
· Application design and programming experience in Java or C++.
Strong Server Side/Real-Time coding background a big plus.
· Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including
talent in presenting complex concepts, relating to customers, listening, and
negotiating.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
· Ability to interface with senior-level executives and effectively
respond to technical questions.
· A history of proactive communication and sharing among the
technical community internally as well as externally.

Travel:

· Ability/Willingness to travel in the 40-50% range as needed, both
domestic & international travel possible.
