The Program will implement multiple new SAP systems and bolt-on
applications. The technology architect is responsible for identifying
opportunities to create business value and defining the system
capabilities necessary to realize these opportunities. The technology
architect designs integrated technology solutions that can scale to meet
the future needs of the business in an efficient, sustainable, agile and
adaptable manner. The technology architect partners with other
architects to assess the alignment of individual projects to the overall
architectural blueprint and release plan.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 10 years related professional experience
Minimum of 7 years systems development and implementation experience in
advanced technology areas such as J2EE, LDAP, XML, EAI, Archiving,
Document Management
Demonstrated ability to transform customer requirements into technology
designs
Demonstrated ability to integrate the technical architecture
requirements for the development, execution, and operations environments
Facilitation experience for conducting requirements gathering and
stakeholder agreement meetings
Ability to manage all facets of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Northeast District Manager - Retail Stores
Location: Manhattan, NY
Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000
Northeast District Manager - Retail Stores/Sales
Must live in the New York/North New Jersey area. The preferred candidate will be centrally located in the New York area to enable car travel to stores in NY, NJ and car or air travel to MA.
A very well known world-wide Retailer is in immediate need of a District Manager for its Northeast District which included the New York/North New Jersey area.
The prime responsibility of this role is to ensure that the operational, financial and customer service performance of Retail stores located in the Northeast District meet the company's quality standards. The role is essential in supporting the development of the store management teams and executing training, feedback and follow up in accordance with company guidelines. The District Manager will utilize business understanding to complete regular comprehensive business reviews with their Store Managers to develop plans and strategies to grow the sales in their stores through continuous improvement of the consumer experience and business results. The District Manager must represent the values of the company in all professional interactions with colleagues and in the community.
Key Accountabilities:
60% Drive district sales and overall store health with frequent visits to stores –
• Extensive travel from store-to-store (up to 80%) within district.
• Meet growth targets for sales metrics such as UPT (units per transaction), ADS (average dollar sale) and customer conversion.
• Work with the Store teams to consistently produce excellent customer experiences through customer service and interaction, cleanliness, merchandising and atmosphere.
• Communicate with Store Managers through weekly conference calls, individual follow-up calls, written communication, and store visits.
• Communicate consistently with store personnel to ensure understanding of and compliance with store policy and procedures.
• Act as the liaison between head office and the stores.
• Respond to store level issues and customer complaints.
• Perform essential functions of all store positions when needed.
• Support and enforce company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Maintain communication with employees at all levels of the company.
• Supervise Store Managers through planning, assigning, and directing their overall responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, retail management or related and equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years experience in retail environment. 1-2 years managing multiple locations.
• Leadership ability and proven record of developing staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Project management experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills. Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office: Windows, outlook, excel, word and Powerpoint.
• Knowledge of and experience with retail POS systems and operations.
• Experience with training
• Proven track record of successful sales growth and leadership skills in training, coaching and developing a team.
• Availability for frequent travel.

Candidate will be part of an aggressive team, assisting in the setting and execution of business strategy. Company's primary product focus is in the PVC polymer additives business segment. Manufacturing plants are in the US and Europe , Global revenues of $250 to $300 million are expected to exhibit strong growth across all regions, especially in the Asia/Pacific.
PART ONE:
1. Purpose:
· Provide business leadership in the development, direction and execution of Information Technology strategy.
· Organize, plan, develop and direct the management and administration of information technology staff, roles, functions, technology and systems.
2. Key Accountabilities
Organization Management / Applications Support
· Develop, guide and implement information management strategies. Coordinate and manage information management solutions.
· Work closely with senior management and functional area leaders to proactively determine Information Technology needs and improvements.
· Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to all phases of Information Technology activities.
· Review and enforce IT support practices and operations, and provide recommendations on improvements and enhancements.
· Improve business processes and support critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems.
· Support the current implementation and future management of the SAP 6.0 Software.
· Develop and manage to an annual budget and operational plans to achieve objectives established by the leadership team.
· Prepare progress reports to inform senior management of project status and deviation from goals.
· Develop, assess, promote and lead the IT staff, recommend changes where appropriate, and provide coaching to improve productivity of IT staff.
· Direct and lead departmental IT training and education efforts.
· Identify best business practices to maximize system effectiveness. Standard Cost experience a plus.
· Keep current on new developments in information technology, developing plan a strategic, competitive s for future upgrades and organizational changes.
· Serve in a consultative role to the organization. Anticipate and recommend future IT enhancements, such as new platforms, technologies and methods.
Infrastructure, Network Security and Disaster Recovery
· Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure and assets at the host site
· Ensure security in the design and use of company's systems, databases and networks. Identify report and resolve security violations.
· Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans as they pertain to IT systems and technology through coordination with hosting provider.
· Assess ongoing advancements in computing technology and determine their applicability to the organization.
· Ensure proper system administration to provide network support and optimize system performance. Ensure that the system uptime meets the goals of the organization.
· Assist in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure.
· Manage and develop upgrades to the company's telephone system.
· Oversee internal systems: troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
· Oversee all user support and help desk activities. Helps responds to escalated help desk issues.
· Interact with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
· Manage the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies
Outsourcing, 3rd Party management
· Prepare proposals and solicit purchase of systems analysis, programming, and computer services from outside firms.
· Negotiate and contract with management specialists, technical personnel, or vendors to solve problems.
· Select, engage, and manage the efforts of outside consultants.
· Build and maintain vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
3. Key Challenges
· Entrepreneurial environment with limited formalized processes and procedures.
· Small, but growing company with limited strategic IT design currently.
· This is a key leadership position, one that requires someone who is very hands-on and able to interface effectively and gain the trust of the all levels of the organization.
· Must remain cognizant of bottom line challenges while trying to implement programs to develop, train and attract the highest levels of talent.
· The company will continue to grow both organically and through acquisition – the IT Director must be a strong integrator of diverse organizational cultures and help create a common vision and purpose to ensure the overall success of the company.
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision and interact with various departments, local department managers, field personnel, the CFO and CEO.
PART TWO:
4. Knowledge and Experience
· BA – Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
· Experience in leading IT functions, preferably in a chemical or other scientific environment.
· A minimum of 10 years experience including 5 years of management experience.
· 5 – 7 years experience in designing, implementing or managing an SAP system.
· Experience implementing and maintaining firewalls, anti-spam appliances, and network hardware such as routers, switches and other network devices.
· Excellent planning, organizational, leadership and management skills. PMP certification is a plus.
· Experience with driving, managing and motivating change.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
· Ability to adapt to a variety of challenging conditions.
