Our client, based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ is a leader in the field of marketing analytics within the auto industry. They have an enviable reputation within their industry for excellence. They have a newly opened position for a JAVA / AJAX Developer to help to launch and sustain one of their proprietary solutions in support of a key client. The primary responsibility for the successful candidate will be to develop and implement the proprietary solution, help to launch the software and ensure the consistency and accuracy of data feeds for the local client. This role will be located in their New Jersey Office. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: -
Participate in the development of design specifications for software to be delivered to the client -
Participate in the launch and sustainment of the Proprietary Solution for the client -
Develop software and provide technical support utilizing technical development software applications such as C#, ASP.NET, AJAX, JavaScript -
Work with internal team members and clients to identify client needs and ensure congruence with technical development capabilities -
Perform quality testing in collaboration with quality services staff to identify and correct defects in the developed software -
Create necessary technical documentation in support of programming and design activities such as release notes, code comments, etc. -
Interact with various client and internal subject matter experts to investigate inaccurate data feeds. -
Plan, organize, develop and deliver client-requested projects and ad hoc requests within a prescribed time schedule. The client-requested projects and requests will be used to communicate dealership performance to find profit, sales and efficiency opportunities related to after sales. -
Use SQL Server to extract and manipulate data by writing queries, joining data sources, etc. -
Focus on improving new and existing processes to effectively and efficiently communicate data from various sources. -
Track, process, analyze and verify data using Microsoft products
Education and Experience: -
Baccalaureate degree in a technical field (engineering, applied math, computer science, applied science, MIS, or other) from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution is required -
Previous work experience as a Software Developer or equivalent position -
Technical skills necessary to support client systems including C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript / AJAX technologies -
SQL Server experience is required -
Microsoft Word, Access and Excel skills are required -
Experience with Excel Macros is preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -
College level math skills and solid mathematical grounding required -
Skills to execute simple statistical analysis software program and create scatter plots, bar charts and histograms -
Knowledge of basic descriptive statistics -
High knowledge level of relational databases, including creating and executing queries, creating scripts, importing/exporting data, triggers, functions, stored procedures, and manipulating data Other Expectations: -
