Boston Dynamics, developer of the industry leading DI-Guy software
product seeks a talented, creative, and highly motivated software
engineer to help create the next generation of astounding and practical
simulation-based training tools. DI-Guy is software for creating
immersive 3D training environments populated with diverse, interactive
and intelligent characters.

To succeed at this job you will need a track record of developing,
modifying, debugging and testing high performance software for large
scale simulations. In addition, you need to demonstrate technical
excellence, sound judgment, maturity, hands-on experience, and be
comfortable working on complex software. You will be expected to work
well with others, have a healthy appetite for hard work and a good sense
of humor.

We require a degree in computer science or related discipline plus 3-5
or more years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have
demonstrated experience working with small groups of highly skilled
developers, have high coding standards, and able to follow detailed
instructions. Strong interpersonal, speaking and writing skills are
required.

We are looking for experience in several of the following areas:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience with animation systems, synthetic characters, rendering
engine and game engine design.
• 3 – 5 years of C++ coding experience, Ability to write fast efficient
performance critical code.
• Knowledge of 3d matrix math, linear algebra
• OpenGL or Direct X
• US Citizen and the ability to obtain a security clearance
Pluses
• Experience with embedded AI scripting languages (Lua or UnrealScript)
• Knowledge of AI techniques: Finite State Machines, A* path planning.
• QT
• DIS, HLA

This is a full time position for a 12 month contract that may turn into
a permanent position.
