Manager Client Technology Engineerin

Oversee and manage the overall performance of the Client Technology Engineering team

·       Oversee the assistance of Client Technology Engineering in providing Level 3 Support to the Client Technology Support teams

OvOversee the research, design and integration of client technologies that strategically interface with our line of business environments.

·         Oversee the administration of various client management technologies, such as workstation hardware and software management, security, and patch management.

·         Oversee the development of technical support documentation and best practices for client engineered technologies

This is a brand new position, due to restucturing..all of the server engineering folks will report to this person,(7/8) folks
 
This is not the final job decription, as there are applications pieced that will be removed, but in the meantime, we can start a pipeline,
Lead the Systems Administration/Engineering group in the implementation and ongoing management of the systems and technology solutions that meet the technical and operational requirements of the organization.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish, maintain and report on various processes related to system and network design, administration and maintenance activities
  • Refine, maintain and lead the execution of a multi-year architectural roadmap for our growing portfolio of software and hardware products
  • Work with IT Management in the ongoing development the technology strategy and vision to support key business processes and needs by determining the optimal IT architecture and level of investment in tools and technologies
  • Manage resources within the Systems Administration and Engineering group and provide mentoring and career development counseling
  • Recommend changes to promote technology consistency and efficiency across all technology platforms (e.g. Portal, J2EE, Messaging, Monitoring)
  • Prepare organizational infrastructure and architecture to accommodate innovation, scalability and compatibility with future technologies
  • Interact with IT leadership to provide input to application development, infrastructure deployment, and IT operations processes and procedures
  • Help define, optimize and maintain IT Security policies and procedures
  • Manage the IT Security strategy and implementation across applications and infrastructures (Configuration)
  • Coordinate with divisions and work to find technical synergies and efficiencies between the two organizations
 
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of technology experience focused in software development, architecture, and infrastructure solutions
  • Minimum of (3) years managing systems administration and engineering teams
  • A proven track record of success with increasing levels of responsibility in an IT environment.
  • Experience in enterprise systems administration, network design, implementation and monitoring
  • Experience developing IT strategy and architectural plans
  • Experience leading an enterprise architecture group
  • Experience leading and implementing enterprise infrastructure solutions such as Active Directory or Enterprise Application Integration efforts

Senior Internal Systems Consultant

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
The candidate is responsible for the overall day-to-day support of the enterprise-wide infrastructure security.  The candidate acts a subject matter expert lead in deploying security solution designs and development/implementation approaches. The candidate is involved and leads solution-prototyping, testing and final promotion to production. The candidate is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and implementation of the enterprise-wide security policy and technologies including participation in planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the company wide area network or local area networks and related security initiatives.  The candidate promotes adherence to security policies and standards, demonstrates awareness of key security trends and considers alternative courses of action and selects best options according to intended security posture.  Also provides consultative support for production systems and applications.  Under minimal supervision, performs tasks with a moderate to advanced degree of difficulty. 
 Candidate Requirements: 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements include a four year degree from an accredited college and five years experience with implementing and managing enterprise heterogeneous security policies, security infrastructure and LAN/WAN?s using diverse technologies.  Candidate must have mid-level experience implementing and managing complex security/Firewalls/WAN/LAN//VPN infrastructure technologies in an enterprise environment.
