Senior Low Latency C++ Developer – Greenfield Client and Exchange Connectivity Project Leading Tier 1 Investment Bank- New York Circa $140,000 plus unbeatable bonus and benefits Senior Low Latency C++ Developer – Greenfield Client and Exchange Connectivity Project Leading Tier 1 Investment Bank- New York Circa $120,000 plus unbeatable bonus and benefits The client currently seeks a talented, senior C++ Developer to work on the development of a new, Greenfield, Client and Exchange Connectivity platform at their prestigious New York office. The C++ Developer would play the crucial role of developing state-of-the art, ultra low-latency Exchange Connectivity software to stay ahead of competitors. You will join an immensely successful team comprised of the very best technologists from low-latency, real-time backgrounds. Reporting directly to the Head of Exchange Connectivity, this is also the perfect opportunity to forge relationships that could pave future career development. You will also play a key role in the architecting and design of new ideas, which can be comfortably discussed in the open, collaborative environment. You will also mentor the junior developers within the team and your contribution will be crucial and well-rewarded. The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: • Strong C/ C++ programming • Experience with low-latency and real-time systems • Linux/ Unix/ Windows • Strong analytical and programming ability • Previous experience within a financial environment would be beneficial but isn't essential • Strong communications skills are desirable as will be liaising directly with other front office users to generate accurate specifications The responsibilities of the Software Developer will be: • Take a key role in the design, development and implementation of the low latency platform • Work within a focused team of experienced software developers • Mentor junior members of the team • Liaise with teams in London and Asia • Work directly with the head of the team alongside you in New York • Lead ad hoc and long term strategic projects Primarily, the client is interested in seeing a motivated and talented C++ developer looking to transfer their programming excellence into the challenging and rewarding financial domain.
