Hello everyone,

Our next "Energize Your Job Search" seminar
will be offered next Tuesday, February 8 in the
Library's McManus Room on the first floor. In
these monthly seminars, you will learn from a
librarian (Margie Freilich-Den or me) how to use some powerful
online databases and other library and internet resources
to find high-quality information on companies,
industries and people. The program will start at 10
a.m., but feel free to arrive at 9:30 a.m. to do some
informal networking. Please be sure to park in
the upper level parking lot where there is no time limit
on parking, as you could receive a parking ticket if you
overstay the 2-hour limit in the lower level lot.

There is no advance registration for this program. We
look forward to seeing you.

I know that many of you were disappointed, as we were,
when the weather caused us to cancel last week's
Krazoom presentation. We have rescheduled it for the
morning of Tuesday, April 12. Meanwhile, if you
haven't tried it yet, go to www.krazoom.com

profile. Doing this will give you new respect for and an
understanding of all of the skills and attributes you
have to offer to employers. Using Krazoom, you
will probably find new ideas of types of jobs you can
look into.

Tuesday, March 1 from 7 – 9 p.m.: Transitioning from
College to the Real World

Wednesday, March 9 from 9:30 a.m. to noon: Advanced Resume
Workshop, by the CT Dept. of Labor (advance registration
with the Dept. of Labor required)

Wednesday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to noon: Energize Your
Job Search

Tuesday, March 22 from noon to 2 p.m.: The Top Ten
Deadly Data Disasters and How to Avoid Them

Wednesday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon: Transferable Skills:
the Secret to Success for Career Changers
